Here's another one: because I frequently wear all-black clothing, I'm frequently mistaken for a Goth—or a Satanist, or... Never mind that I just happen to like the color black. (I'm told this frequently happens to Neil Gaiman as well, for much the same reason.)

Four examples, two of them real life. A look at the archived YKTTW indicates that it may be like Mistaken for Aliens. Thoughts? Posting on Trope Repair as well.
Shame there are no real-life examples. I thought of an excellent one: arsim* generally label anyone who usually wears black and isn’t a member of the clergy a ‘freak’ (yes, they use the English loanword), be it a Goth, an Emo, or anything in that general area.
