Per TRS, a Trope Transplant has been done, with And Man Grew Proud's definition being moved here and the name And Man Grew Proud being reused for a new trope.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.

It seems like too many of these examples are "an apocalyptic event is only explained as a Noodle Incident" or "an apocalyptic event happened too long ago to be remembered". And therefore not actually related to being a myth at all.

These kinds of statements are very vague and self fulfilling. "If done well, then" is just a basic formula style of thing. At least the line about "hitting the audience over the head" is imparting info not just saying "if done bad, then."
