Do examples count if they don't do any real damage, they just cause pain? Like accidentally hitting your thumb with a hammer, or maybe the famous "Charlie Bit My Finger" viral video.

That's either parodied or played for laughs, depending on the content. No, it's definitely a parody, since the fingers don't actually get "hurt" in the gorn sense of the word.
