What is the sporting/olympic counterpart to this trope called?

Does it count as a inversion or subversion of this trope if a soldier won alot of medals and would have a Chest of Medals, but is such a Military Maverick that his medals keep getting revoked.

I think that if it does get mentioned that he performed enough feats and deeds that he would have earned a Chest of Medals if it were not for such a flaw, it would count as a subversion. I'm not sure how to invert the trope, though.

(YKTTW OP here)

Okay, even though this seems like a premature launch to me, I did put an Up For Grabs tag on the YKTTW, so I shouldn't complain. I wouldn't be surprised if this trope quickly went into TRS for "ill-defined description", however.
