Dot Com and Grizz from 30 Rock have been shown to be interested in theater, politics, etc, but that isn't necessarily "nerdy" nor does it completely qualify for this trope.

How is the "Morning's Here" guy from Friends a nerd? We know exactly one thing about him, which is that he sings in the mornings. Is that a particularly nerdy trait? Joey likes singing with him, but I'm pretty sure he's not a nerd.

There are too many Real Life examples that seem to either be just "educated successful Black men" (lawyers and politicians) or mainstream celebrities who may just come out and say "Oh, btw, I also love World of Warcraft and Spiderman." Bandwagon jumpers. I think we should also eliminate rappers and other performers who seem more like they're pandering to the demographic just to make it seem like "he's/she's one of us." There's much more to being a nerd.

Plenty of the examples are just educated or cultured characters too.
