Well, first let's see how many similarities there are:
- Each introduced the concept of two mutants being created to combat the turtles.
- Both had a new sidekick for the turtles to play off of (Kino, with Soo O, Casey with Oot S).
- Both had the turtles discovering or exploring something about their origins or their existence (Soo O had them discover how they were made, Oot S had them needing to decide whether or not to take a certain action).
- Both had them trying to retrieve some ooze.
- Both had them 'revealed' to the public near the end of the movie.
Am I missing any?

Going by that list, I would favor History Repeats, but am still uncertain

i really don't get where everyone keeps getting this idea that it's less "gritty" and "realistic" than the first movie. that one seemed plenty goofy to me.
Since Out of the Shadows is aiming to be Denser and Wackier than the first film, like how Secret of the Ooze was for the first Turtles film, which trope fits this better? History Repeats or Recycled Script?(Though it'd be more recycled theme rather than script)
