My assumption was that gender neutral pronouns and people assuming she was a boy. And would it really be out of character for Himika to cause people to think she was a boy?

Kare is the least gender neutral pronoun Reiji could use. I think Layra's gender was settled as male ever since the scene where Reiji gave Cross Over to all Lancers. It was keep gender neutral during the entire Standard arc though.

It is, but I can't remember which site was deciding stuff first. This is one of those times that I REALLY hope that the dub clarifies stuff.
This is a bit too early, but I want to mentioned it first, so we can keep that topic in our mind for the future. Due to size and spoiler issues, if any of the crossover character will become Lancers, it would be better to create a seperate page for them, called "Lancers (Crossover Characters)" while this page would have a collective folder called "folder: Crossover Characters *SPOILERS*" and it gives the link to the page.

Hmm...wouldn't it just be better to have "original Lancers" and "new Lancers?" Presumably there won't be just crossover characters joining the Lancers.
I think it would be better to have a page for all the ARC-V Lancers that feature all ARC-V characters, while the second page would be about the crossover characters. But depending on the number of members, we could split it into three pages: "Lancers (Original)" (covering the first nine Lancers), "Lancers (Crossover" (crossover characters) and "Lancers (New members)" (featuring the new Lancers from ARC-V).

With Crow and Sora confirmed as Lancers; this discussion is now relevant to page issues. Are we going to create an entirely new page, or put things under a subheading? I don;t mind either, but I'm opposed to the idea of a separate page for crossover characters in and ARC-V originals that are new characters.
The size issue does matter, since it makes it difficult to edit the pages and slows the editing process down. Also for spoiler reasons, since crossover characters are a bigger deal than ARC-V originals who went Heel–Face Turn. Crow is currently the only one, but Kaito and Edo are basically Lancers as well, we just have to wait for a few weeks. The size issue is the reason why the original page was splitted in different pages and why Yuya, Yuzu and Reiji are seperated from this page. Even One Piece has a seperated pages for the Straw Hats because of size issues. The crossover characters will definitely usually have a lot of tropes, as so do the ARC-V Lancers. The category of Oversized Pages does exist for a reason.

I think just a page for the original Lancers and another for the joined Lancers is already enough. It's not like the crossover ones are getting any special focus.
Well, I could live with that. We just have to wait for the confirmation of Edo and Kaito's status.
And given that a certain character will return in the next four episodes, we got more than Sora and Crow.

Due to this page's large size, I would put Yuya and Reiji as well as Yuzu from the You Show site to a new site, "Main Characters", while still leaving folders with links to them. Yuya is the protagonist, Reiji is the tritagonist and Yuzu is the deuteragonist. Therefore, the number of their tropes will increase a lot during the next years, while new Lancers will be added to this page, which would make it even larger. The three combined will eventually have enough tropes to make a huge site.

No one forms a Five-Man Band here. That trope has specific rules about what makes one.
How do we handle Layra's gender now? Voidgod reedited everything under the assumption his/her gender was ambiguous until the reveal, but we know his gender was unambiguous male (everyone always refered to him by "kare" and Reiji also used "otouto", not mention Layra himself used "boku" as his personal pronoun) until that was changed in the Standard -> Pendulum Cosmic Retcon.
