Personally I’m thinking of cutting this and the Vocaloid character page altogether. While this page does have more potential for character tropes than the latter, there’s also the problem that there’s still so many UTAUs that are out there to the point that it would be impossible to list on this page. Not to mention that UTAU character biographies are more of a starting point instead of the rule for characterisation, since those almost always not adhered to.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf it's okay with everyone, I'd like to add Aiko Kiyuune and Neko Kanochi to the character page under 'other'.
Both Utauloid a fairly popular for being Oversea Utauloids, Aiko's most popular song Breaking Point haviing nearly 50,000 views, while the videos Kanochi is in usually retain around 5,000-10,000 view rate on You Tube. (Probably would be more, but Sango (Neko's voice provider and user) usually disables likes/dislike option on her videos.
All in all, they're fairly well known and rather popular voicebanks, so I feel like they deserve to be part of the character page.
I hate Shameless Self-Promoter-kin, but I think this aversion of There Is No Such Thing As Notability is a little unfair...
I think we have the option of either Shameless Self-Promoter-ism or scrapping the whole character section. As UTAU fandom is more open-ended to character interpretations and canonicity/fandom than Vocaloid...maybe the latter might be okay, as much as it is a little harsh.
Hide / Show RepliesWhere was it decided that this was an aversion of There Is No Such Thing As Notability? I'm not aware of any such ruling.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffWhy not make separate articles for individual characters/musicians? They're essentially separate works anyway, right?
I could certainly get behind that.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffThe ruling to avert There Is No Such Thing As Notability was done back when the characters page was merged with the Vocaloid character page, due to too many people sticking their own UTAU up there.
The problem is that there are literally thousands of UTAU characters and making pages/entries for every single one would make things ridiculous, which is why I want to cut it.
I don't follow. Who ruled it?
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffIP 207.74.26.123: "Just an FYI, I am removing any UTAU character who does not have a song with 10,000 views or more on Nicovideo. This is to prevent the page from eventually becoming a bloated mess of characters that nobody cares about. (You may argue that this is too hard for UTAU's relative unpopularity, but as of writing, there are 226 UTAU songs with 10,000 views or more.) If you think this is unjust in any way, please reply to this topic and tell me why."
