Eliminated assorted tropes which really don't work.
Athena
- Bare Your Midriff: From the trope page: “Note that simply showing the belly and a little skin around it, like a slightly open shirt, does not count.” This is all Athena has ever shown.
- Combat Stilettos: No. Even on the rare occasions where she wears heels (2003, Maximum Impact 2) they're quite thick—nothing like stilettos.
Daimon
- Ugly Guy, Hot Wife – If you're arguing that he's not really ugly—and I would agree—why is this listed as a subversion instead of an aversion?
Kim
- Ugly Guy, Hot Wife - Averted and then smashed into microscopic shards of glass under the weight of Kim's heel. Myeng Swuk is a looker, but so is he!
King
- Combat Stilettos – The trope isn't about any kind of heel—its about a very particular type of heel, and one King doesn't ever come close to having.
Kyo
- The Jimmy Hart Version – Variations on the same original character are explicitly not this trope.
Somebody has been removing Shout Outs and similar entires from the character pages, leaving notes discouraging their restoring.
Is there any good reason for this? As far as I know this is not required, an it isn't as if every trope example can't end being twice in the wiki (seeing how its both quoted on the trope page and the work/character page)
Edited by endlessnostalgia Hide / Show RepliesSorry for the late reply, I just reincorporated the discussion pages to my watchlist.
There's an individual page for Ko F shoutouts located at ShoutOut.The King Of Fighters. All kind of references should go there.
Wait, there's this rule about all of the characters names being organized in Wester Style naming (given name-surname rather than surname-given name), going as far to say that Chinese and Korean names also apply and yet some chinese and korean characters have their names rendered in Easter Style even though they are in Western Style order, I just think it can be confusing sometimes if left like that.
Edited by GoukenimaruThis page has been split, with characters from King of Fighters '94 given their own page and the rest remaining at Characters. The King Of Fighters The Orochi Saga.
This split was done due to server performance issues related to the page size, as illustrated in this thread in Wiki Talk.
These two pages may need to be further split in the future if the size increases over the 400,000 character threshold. Tropers familiar with the series may want to determine how any future splits would best be handled. If a consensus can be reached, it may be in the article's best interests to perform the splits proactively to avoid future page locks.

Shouldn’t the first king of fighters game be in the Orochi Saga? Because I watch videos and other articles claiming that the first game is part of the Orochi Saga.
