In many episodes, Randy's adventure with Chacha puts him in pretty much mortal danger. Not counting the intro where he is saved by dog!Chacha, without toycar!Chacha he would be dead in the first episode already.

What trope fits that trait?

Well, at a quick glance it's Too Dumb to Live, but then you must remember that Randy is a toddler that does not know better. So I'd suggest looking at secondary tropes- Randy's parents are being neglectful. It could be Parental Neglect or Adults Are Useless. I'm actually leaning towards Parental Neglect. In which this case, toycar!Chacha becomes a Parental Substitute to Randy.

Parents as People perhaps? Randy's parents do act like proper, loving parents when they are around. It's just that it doesn't happen often because Randy is always off somewhere.

Well, I didn't think about that, but yeah, Parents as People works.

Either way tho, Chacha is still a Parental Substitute in either case.
