open[Solved] A yuri manga and maybe anime about a girl trying to produce her dead sister's play Anime
A friend of mine says I lent her a manga series once about a girl who's trying to produce a play she found because it was made by her dead older sister, and she's always trying to emulate this older sister, such as acting all outgoing, despite not actually being like that at all. She's in a club with one other girl and two guys. She eventually starts going out with a girl (no idea if it's the girl in the club), but she (the former, I'm assuming) is trying to keep the relationship under wraps, like not wanting to kiss in public. At the end of the series they have sex, but if there's an anime adaptation it naturally cut that out. I'm swearing up and down to her I don't own anything like that and the plot doesn't sound familiar to me in the slightest, but she's insistent she borrowed the books from me and that we (or just her) even watched an anime adaptation of it. Her memory isn't super-great, so I've no clue how accurate all these details are, but this mystery is driving me nuts and I could really use some help!
Edited by NaturesRoseresolved comedy isekai manga solved Anime

Edited by dutchguy1986resolved Anime about Killer Plants Anime
I remember watching this one anime about a group of survivors going up against these killer plants after they woken up too early from hyper sleep before the monster plants can even be taken care of.
I remember the plot but...I don't know the name.
openAnime/mobile game about girl and her robot Anime
Okay, so there was this anime from a few years ago that was basically about a girl and her robot (the robot was designed along the lines of those in Castle in the Sky) which name I cannot remember. I also recall seeing adds of a mobile game, thought I'm not sure if the mobile game was based on the anime, or the anime was based on the mg. I recall this anime being heavily promoted by crunchyroll
I did found this video game literally called A girl and her Robot, which does look very similar aesthtic wise, but it's not the same.
openA manga that I only remember by cover art Anime
I've been stumped in my attempt to look for a manga. The only thing I could remember from it was a picture of 2 girls and 1 boy in school uniforms (button-up shirts, ribbon, or necktie) holding an apple. The guy looked like your typical male romcom lead, the first girl had bobbed hair and was wearing a plain uniform while the other girl had long black hair and was wearing a hoodie over her uniform, earbuds, and glasses. I have nothing else on this manga and I'm kinda interested in it, so I'd really appreciate if someone could at least the image
openSummoning elements with kanji inscribed cards (SOLVED) Anime
There was this anime I remember from my childhood where the characters would battle using cards that had kanji relating to different "elements" (as in, water and fire and such.)
They did not summon any creatures as far as I remember, just stuff like waves of water. The kanji on the cards glowed brightly when they were activated. They might have used some sort of device to scan the cards, although I'm not sure of that part.
There was an airship battle at some point, and I think there was some evil organization against the heroes, too.
Edited by YosefuopenHumanoid fox/BigBadWolf in a pink suit inside a hut on fire Anime
Believe it or not, this was one of my first exposures to anime (back in the late 90's, many Italian regional channels aired old anime series from the 80's regardless of their actual demographic target). Being gifted (and cursed) with photografic memory, one of those scenes which got stuck in my head was about some kind of isekai anime which had a fox (or another canine animal) disguised as the grandmother from Little Red Riding Hood (on second thought, it was probably a series based on Western fairy tales). For some reason, said fox got trapped in a (burning) hut and there was shot from the outside with the fox angrily staring at the camera through the window. Perhaps it was a wolf and my 3-year old self mistook it for a fox because of the fur appearing red.
openManga where people stand on boxes Anime
I think it was an anime about a manga artist. At one point there were concerns about character heights- some characters who were supposed to be short would sometimes appear to be as tall as others.
The answer, was to make the characters carry boxes around that they stand on. In panels where they're taller, it's because they're standing on boxes.
openPress-ganged into Doing a Hero Show (SOLVED) Anime
Mid-2010s or later. Most likely Manga Time Kirara style.
I only watched the first episode or two. In the first one, the Four-Girl Ensemble go to a department store for some reason, but they get strong-armed into putting on a Tokusatsu show on the rooftop. It had a little stage with an audience full of kids, and the roof was surrounded by a chainlink fence like on a typical Japanese high school. I think the girls are aspiring actresses or something, and this is what lets the main character overcome her stage fright.
I thought it was either Hinako Note or Maesetsu, but it's not either of those as far as I can tell.
Edit: It was episode 4 of Aho Girl. I think I got it confused with Maesetsu or something too.
Edited by WarriorsGateresolved A guy turns into a monster when kissing a girl and chomps her in half. Anime
There's this rather old anime. I remember a scene where a seemingly Ordinary High-School Student is kissing a girl on a park bench. The screen fades to black and moments later unfades to a view of the bloody lower half of the girl's body. Then the guy's view pans to hos hands turned into hideous claws. Switch to a view of him now as hideous bulky creature. As he exclaims "What the hell is this?" the upper half of the girl falls out of his mouth.
Edited by sohibilopenAnime about a pigtailed girl getting slaved away by a family of geeks Anime
I remember seeing this anime video on Facebook about this pigtailed girl acting as a slave for this family of geeks and they were making her do all of the household work until this woman on a motorbike comes crashing into the dining room.
What's the anime called?
Edited by C6-E9openNobody here but paintings: cartoon in art museum Anime
Seen in the 1990's,Cartoon network? The hero of the cartoon hides inside famous paintings in a museum, disguising like parts of them. I thought it was I Am Weasel but scrolling through the episodes I do not find it. Whole scene evolves beautifully around this trope: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NobodyHereButUsStatues Thank you for helping! Love to see it again and show it to my kids.
Edited by hethaliaopenGod Awful Herb "High Fantasy" Anime
There were like four girls who were named after the herbs from the Scaboroughfair song, the blue one is pretty sexist and controlling. The writers feel like they are very drunk women supremacists. One character who's trans gives a textbook definition of trans. Another trans character is portrayed as "well you must be trans if you like dressing as a girl".The short blonde is an absolute ray of sunshine, and a purple-haired girl whose haircut defies gravity seems to like murder. Also, there's a catgirl thief who has a bell for some reason (wouldn't that make thievery harder?). I think there were these three ladies who were supposed to emulate the triple goddess of witchcraft Hecate, but they each felt like 1/6 of a decent "quirky" character. WHY DOES THIS EXIST??!!
openAnime about children being abducted by supernatural entity (Solved) Anime
I only remember this show from promos that ran on [adult swim] during the mid-to-late 2000s, I don't think the show actually aired, It may have been a web-exclusive or OVA.
It opened with a with a girl saying, and I'm paraphrasing since this was very long time ago, "It's like a big game of hide-and-seek...Children are going to start to disappear." It then showed a bunch of clips from the show. It showed a bunch of kids, all of whom appeared to wearing Noh-masks. It also show this thing that looked like a dragon or guardian lion, that I assumed was the thing responsible for the mentioned disappearances. It was set in a very urban-looking environment, and looked very dark, maybe with a red tinge.
I saw this as a child and it always stuck with me.
Edit: It's Kakurenbo.
Edited by datadoggieeinopenAnime where an aquatic girl (mermaid?) kills a guy in a water tank Anime
Years ago (definitely before 2012), I caught a brief fragment of some anime on TV; I don't know if it was a series, a movie, or an OVA.
The scene, set late at night, depicts a man (I think he was your typical teenage anime protagonist) sneaking into some sort of a research lab. He enters a room with a large water tank, inside of which is a beautiful girl (possibly a mermaid? Some water-breathing being, at least). He climbs into the water tank and dives down, clearly expecting the aquatic girl to be friendly. They both look at each other for a moment in what looks like a touching scene, then the girl suddenly opens her mouth, revealing a set of sharp teeth, and the water fills with blood.
Can anyone identify what the anime was?
Edited by KorodzikopenA shoujo manga about a high school student working for a fashion designer?? Anime
And no, just to make sure it is not Paradise Kiss, just want to make that clear ^^'
Anyway what I remember is that it lasted for like 5 volumes I think?
The plot was a high school girl who started working as an apprentice to a fashion designer guy, and they fall in love along the way. I know sounds pretty generic, but if it helps I do remember that the guy was a pretty boy, like almost feminine looking and the age gap wasn't that big, i seem to remember the protagonist was already in her graduating year and he was at most in his mid twenties and the guy was actuallypretty decent when he realized he liked her he actually tried to keep his distance, but you this is a romance shoujo so that didn't last lol.
(I'm not 100% sure of this one detail, but I think they had a bit of a Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy dynamic.)
One scene I do remember clearly was that the guy, as her boss pretty much forced her to not work when she was having her exams, so she could focus on her studies, and when she was done with it and was about to show him her grades he actually yelled at her to get out by mistake, not remembering the exam season was over.
resolved Romance Anime (solved) Anime
The anime is about a girl who falls in love with a Gentle Giant after he saves her from an sexual assault (I think).
Edited by StalkerGameropenBL Sentai Parody Anime
The most I know about this show is that I found it on TV Tropes, The protagonist was some sort of sentai or superhero fanboy and there was a card where he and some guy got married.
Searching for a manga about a young man who plays saxophone most likely from 80s-mid 90s. It is NOT Blue Giant. This is kind of unusual because I actually found images of this series and do not know it's source and have had no luck trying to find out what it is and I am extremely curious to know more about it. I was looking at a collection of set materials from the 1998 Trigun anime and included in the scans were 4 pages of a collage of panels from a manga primarily depicting a young man with a saxophone but there were also several Black characters and a young lady with short hair also shown playing/holding saxophones. Some of the panels show the young man performing with a band including a drummer and keyboard player. The artstyle is more towards the realistic side with the saxophones drawn with great detail. It reminds me stylistically of manga from the 80's and early 90's. One of the pages includes what looks like a chapter page with English text reading: SESSION 9 "GHOST OF A CHANCE"(Take 2). I used Google Translate's phone app photo translation tool to try and translate the Japanese text that was visible in some of the panels but the image was too low quality for it to recognize any of this text. There was a hand written note on all 4 manga collage pages that the translator was able to see clearly enough to translate that roughly said "Midvalley Saxophone Reference." The 3 pages before this in the collection of scanned set materials are of the character Midvalley the Hornfreak and his saxophone and they are all dated 1998, so this manga could not have come out anytime after that. I can provide links to website where I found these set materials.
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask for this kind of help finding a series but I wasn't really sure where to go and had success here many years ago looking for something so thought it was worth a shot. Thank you in advance for any help.
