Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.

Ask the Tropers:
resolved Mariofan99
Mariofan99 has shown several problems with their editing. Indentation and poor spelling/grammar are the most common and repetitive ones, others include:
- Shoehorning in a trope that doesn't exist.
- Re-adding a trope that was deleted with a justified reason (and with a fraction of the context).
- Multiple shoehorns of They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot.
- Taking a word that was spelled as it should be and changing it so it doesn't make sense any more.
Notifiers have been sent for the indentation and spelling/grammar.
Edited by UFOYeahopenEdit war
On this YMMV page, Mariofan 99 added an entry for Squick, darksteel removed it, and Mariofan99 readded it. What makes the issue a little more complex is that darksteel removed Squick on the grounds of "it not being YMMV", even though it is. When Mariofan99 added it back, their edit reason pointed out that Squick is YMMV. I'm not sure who's at fault here, because while the entry was removed for a false reason, it was still added back by the same troper who first added it, so it's still technically an edit war.
openUnnecessarily rude edit reason
Here, mariofan1000 removed an example with an unnecessarily rude edit reason. Fair enough, the entry may have been misuse or not a common enough reaction to keep on the page (it's a YMMV page), but deleting it and saying "This sounds fucking shit" (their words, not mine) is uncalled for.

Mario Fan 2019 seems to be running something to replace "oof", as seen on Memes.Super Mario Bros.
openMore shenanigans on ProJared
Mariofan1000 deleted the warning about the trivia page not being about Jared's personal life, and added this:
- Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Normal Boots terminated him after it was revealed he emotionally abused and cheated on his wife and solicited nudes from fans — some of whom were underage — and sent his own nudes to said fans.
openmariofan1000
mariofan1000 unilaterally changed the page quote on List Song with the edit reason "I think this is a better quote, given that it's in english." (Note: the original quote was in English.) They also have some less-than-savory edits on TropesThatWillNeverHappen.TooDangerous; I know that that's a Darth Wiki page, but are those really kosher here?
openJmariofan77
Can someone give Jmariofan77 a tap on the shoulder? He made several mass-edits of the YMMV.Bleach page which Eagal and I have been going through and found several to be pretty Fan Wanky. He also deleted an example of Ass Pull after it had been through a massive Discussion page (which he was also a part of), and his reasons for it amount to more speculation about the story.
I just think the guy needs to chill out.

Looks like supermariofan64 is editing with one of those word changing plugins, censoring swears this time
Mariofan 99 removed this entry from Character Perception Evolution:
This was their edit reason:
Now, the entry didn't actually say he "never had fans", just that he wasn't very popular. On the other hand, if the rest of the edit reason is right, then maybe the entry should be added back and modified.
