^I don't think there's a specific trope for this one. The closest one I could find was Locked in a Room.
This is one of those tricks you see in sitcoms when two people are having a falling out. They'll say to one of these people "X wants to say sorry and meet you for dinner." and then "Y wants to meet you for dinner" to the other. This may or may not work, but a common area where this falls apart is where one of them says. "Hey thanks for inviting me over to say sorry" and the other says "But I thought you invited me to say sorry".
