I'm not really sure what you're asking for... are you maybe looking for Computer Equals Tapedrive?
If you mean they load the data off a tape into their brain, see Brain/Computer Interface, Neural Implanting, Biodata and/or Technopath.
On a side note, these are all actually extremely common in science fiction- Computer Equals Tapedrive stuck around well into the 90s despite being mostly obsolete by the late 80's.
