It certainly sounds like a Magical Girl anime. The only Magical Girl western cartoons I can think of are W.I.T.C.H., Rainbow Brite, Winx Club, and Miraculous Ladybug, however none fit the bill.
Weird that it's not the first Pretty Cure series, since it's the only anime with magical girls featuring a lacrosse player I know.

So I remember watching this show years ago, when I was around 7 or 8, and I can't find it anywhere (to the point where I'm questioning if it exists) and I'm 15 now. I remember small things about it. It was about these two girls (or maybe one girl) and they had these pendant things. I believe they were green and pink. They were able to speak as well. I also remember that they used to them to defeat bad guys or something. I think in the last episode, the girl was really upset because the pendant or locket closed because it was like "you don't need me anymore". I know it was animated. I am also fairly sure that they played lacrosse in the show. Please help
