The usual is to break them down alphabetically. Exactly how in this situation, I'm not sure.

That is a long description (at least on mobile.)

One way to help until the page can be split is to clean it up. Natter, Conversation on the Main page, Word Cruft, and such can add a ridiculous amount of text.

I thought a forum thread had declared "current decade" retrospectives verboten on the basis that, we can't look at the current decade objectively.

That sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't remember more than that.

I considered splitting the trope list regarding sociopolitical tropes and pop cultural tropes, but with the clusterfudge of political events of 2016, the overdosed trope list overwhelmed me, so it didn't came to pass.

Would it be fair to say then maybe at least make pages for "works made during this decade"

There's already a bunch of "works from this decade" subpages (with links hidden beneath probably-redundant folders), including Films of the 2010s, Literature of the 2010s, Series of the 2010s, etc.

One thing we might want to sort out is if Anime of the 2010s should be renamed to Anime and Manga of the 2010s... That would allow a bunch of examples to be moved.

Yeah, pull those links out into the light of day and nix the folders.

My specific concern was that i was trying to add a web video work that came out in the 2010s but it doesn't seem like their is a Web Original of the New Tens made yet. Do you think it would be a good idea to make pages for mediums that don't have newten pages yet (replace those particular folders with a link to the medium page).

That's generally discouraged unless the Main page is strictly an index. Splitting off larger folders into their own pages, or alphabetizing into subpages, is more the norm, to allow room for the smaller folders on the page.

So don't make a Web Original of the 2010s page?

Not if it's going to be one example.

One example? There is whole bunch of web originals listed on the page

Ah okay, I read 'no web original' as no folder, not no page.

so does that mean you would be ok with a "web originals of 2010s" page then since there are definitely enough examples to start one?

This calls for a TRS.

This was also being discussed in the Too-Long Page Repair thread here

Splitting the discussion to ATT, TRS, and the projects thread seems silly...

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty

It can be taken off ATT and to one of the other threads, though. This threads getting long.
