Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Any official release is treated as a global release as far as the site is concerned.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThere's a section about this on Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work -
- TV Tropes is an international site and we don't use any particular market as a benchmark for releases. If it's available in Liechtenstein but not yet on sale in the rest of the world, that's still a release.
The caveat on this is that a brief accidental release may be treated as a Content Leak. But if it's irreversibly released early, that counts.
We even have a trope for this very situation: Short Run in Peru.
Thanks, seems I had managed to miss the relevant Administrivia page and mix up Short Run in Peru with Early-Bird Release.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst Whatever Ever.
What is TV Tropes' policy regarding troping works that have been released early in some parts of the world? To be more specific, season 2 of Star Trek: Prodigy has been made legally available in France before its international release on Netflix (apparently because of some miscommunication due to the series' Channel Hop). Is it acceptable to create Recap pages for Season 2 episodes now (and possibly add tropes to the other pages), or is it advised to wait for the international release before doing so?
