Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

It's an interesting bit of Trivia that maybe could be mentioned at that subpage. But I care less about the joke and more that the description is quite long already.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI don't really mind the joke, I think the occasional bit of spice on these pages doesn't hurt, but I don't really have an argument for keeping it beyond "I think it's funny".
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessA similar gag was removed from the page for the thing it interrupted, but it fits much better on the actual Max Headroom page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I don't hate the joke, it's mostly that it requires outside context and the description's already pretty long without the sidetrack like Amonimus said. Not foaming at the mouth to remove it if people like it, but maybe there's a better way to incorporate it into the page, like as a quote or stinger?
We could just trim down the description, then. Work descriptions don't need that much fluff, but I wouldn't blame the joke for it since it lasts all of a line.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI personally don't have a problem with it. (Emphasis on "personally" because this is just my $0.02 and not a mod statement.)
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. If the description was shorter, a little of self-demonstration wouldn't hurt.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI don't have a problem with trimming the description. As was previously said, the joke is just one line, so the bloat is due to unrelated reasons.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Alright, that seems like decent consensus so I'll poke around at it and see what could reasonably be trimmed.
Max Headroom has its description section interrupted partway through with a YouTube link leading to footage of the 1987 TV signal hijacking incident. I understand why it's there, it's inserted into the part talking about the actual character interrupting segments on the network. The YouTube video isn't from the show though, and while it's an interesting piece of trivia, I'm skeptical that it adds value to the page. Can the links be removed?
