I think Auto Erotic Troping is only an issue when the input is creative. Forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong, but I don't think testers have much creative input on the final product; mostly finding bugs and/or tuning balance. It should be fine as long as you're not troping things you had a direct hand in making.

There's no inherent difference between a tester and a regular player if they don't have a hand directly in the production.

I agree that it only becomes a problem if the troper has had a noticeable amount of creative input on the work and the edits relate in some way to their work.

To give an example, The Infinite Loops is a massive collaborative work that I have contributed some small snippets to. I consider myself completely free to make edits that have nothing to do with my own contributions, as the fact that I wrote a completely different part of the "work" does not create any bias.

I mean, a test screen audience of an unreleased movie isn't technically a part of the film's production team either, and I feel like a game tester plays a comparatively similar role (especially if you're a Beta tester instead of an Alpha).

I would imagine the more immediate concern would be troping stuff that isn't available to the public more than auto-erotic troping.

^ I agree, I just didn't bring it up because I didn't have any doubts about that. You guys don't want me leaking anything, the devs don't want me leaking anything, I don't want to leak anything...

By the way, wasn't there an Administrivia page regarding Content Leaks? I thought there was, but apparently not.

I'd like to apologize for all this.

I feel like "As a rule on this website" at Content Leak should be potholed to Creating a Work Page for an Upcoming Work for reference.

We recently added "no leaks" to the latter page.
