I don't know if there's a rule that emojis can't be used. But, the troper has replaced an X with a more pictorial X; same with the O. Maybe they were trying to make them look more like the buttons on the actual console? They haven't randomly vandalized the page with unrelated emojis.
On the YMMV, I don't like the arrow pictures they used, because I can't clearly see whether they're pointing up or down; it seemed clearer in the previous edit.
There is a rule stating emoticons aren't allowed, so it should be undone.
I reverted the YMMV page.
Pretty sure emojis don't render the same on every device anyway (except perhaps the ones built into the forums?) and shouldn't be used.
If that’s the case, then FanNickname.Genshin Impact might need a look as it has an entry about how fans use emojis to refer to certain characters. Does this need its own ATT thread or do we tackle it here?

^That entry is specifically about emojis, so I don't have a problem with that. This on the other hand is about game icons, so we should keep to text.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the mid
My main concern is that these icons may not render the same, or render at all, on all devices, so the text may be unreadable in some cases. I think the text should be reverted.
