Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
If The Outer Worlds does fit Pacifist Run (judging by your explanation, I think it fits), then you are free to write an entry for it in that page. Check out the How to Write an Example page to learn about how to write a decent example. Make sure to check the other Administrivia pages like Text-Formatting Rules as you are new to this site.
Edited by Excessive-Menace YAWK YAWK YAWK YAWKIf your example fits (which I think it does), you can add it. Also, along with using the pages mentioned in the comment above me, you don’t necessarily need to ask whether or not you should add an example unless either A. it’s been incredibly contested in the past, or B. you’re unsure of if it counts.
Y'ALL JUST GOT SHREKTHi, Welcome to TV Tropes!
To add to the other answers, This Is a Wiki. Most of the type the answer to "why isn't this example here yet" is nobody thought to add it, probably because nobody who has played the way you have has had a chance to edit the page. So feel free to do so.
If you are unsure if an example counts, you can bring it to this forum thread for more input.
I think most people do count nonlethal take-downs a valid tactic for pacifist runs of games that don't really allow progression with absolutely zero violence so I think it's fine for the page
Hi. I'm new here, and while I just created an account today, I've been regularly frequenting this site for some time. The other day I noticed that 'Pacifist Run' was a featured trope article, and as someone who loves pacifist and technical pacifist playthroughs, I was quite intrigued.
Under the RPG section of the page, I didn't see The Outer Worlds being mentioned as a game that allows for a pacifist playthrough, though I recently completed the game without killing a single person. The game doesn't actually have a nonlethal mechanic that allows players to knock out enemies, and while it is much more challenging to avoid killing any aliens or robots, I can confirm that you can complete the game and its DL Cs without directly killing a single person. Because of that, should The Outer Worlds be included under the article's RPG umbrella?
