Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
The deletion was, in fact, discussed, but their edit reason definitely made it look like just a personal feeling rather than a consulted decision.
Edited by GoldenCityBird TRS Wick CleaningYeah, they not only got approval, but approval from the person who added the entry in the first place.
Also "blanking" is not the right terminology here. This is just deletion.
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Ok. Sorry I just saw it with the deletion reason and raised an eyebrow but if it was discusssd and approves then consider my objection withdrawn
Edited by bunnyofdoomoThat said, given that user's history, I wouldn't be surprised if their edit reason wasn't deliberately controversial. Their forum history was primarily low-key trolling and in Edit/Banned they admitted to being an attention whore.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Weren't they just unsuspended today?
Yeah, but their original suspension was for the posts they made in the forums, not for any particular edit. However, their only edit prior to their first suspension was also on a OBC page. So there may be a pattern here.
Edited by Shadow8411I think we're overcomplicating this a tiny bit. This edit was discussed before they did the removal and their only issue was not linking back to the thread. Their forum stuff was a different situation and their edit reason is misleadingly personal, but not inflammatory.
However, I can't perfectly remember if that other edit was discussed, and it could use further discussion in the OBC thread as I could see an argument for keeping it.
Did anybody try PM'ing them to remind them to use clear edit reasons?

Hi,
Not sure if this should be flagged but troper Link Mario Samus just removed unanimously the Civ VI controversies off https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=OvershadowedByControversy.VideoGames with the edit reason "I wouldn't have known about those controversies if I hadn't seen this site."
I feel like this is perhaps not the right move, especially if they only heard it here doesn't mean there isn't controversy about it. This is my first ATT though, so I could be misreading, or misunderstanding
