Yeah, that's not an example.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.

Agreed, go ahead and revert that.

And now the dude's spamming me with PM after PM after PM after PM explaining his point in excruciating detail. Here's his final word:

"It'd be great if you'd tell them what's taken place and why you're the one in the wrong here." [Not an exact quote; that'd have violated the rules.]

Sheesh. Some people...

I've added PMs to his suspension.

Okay, reading over things apparently he's trying to say that an official Japanese site presented "Brachiomon" as an actual transliteration of the "Brakimon" name, even though it's not.

Possibly true, but in that case it seems like they intentionally used the English name rather than accidentally messed up. I dunno.

And to be honest, even if Muur's right about the facts of the matter—and I'm not sure if that's the case—the way he's trying to order me around is a problem in itself, tone-wise. Not to mention that he needs to learn the difference between "transliterate" and "translate".

"the way he's trying to order me around is a problem in itself"

I can relate to that pet peeve, big time.

The thing that I don't understand is what makes it an actual "Blind Idiot" Translation and not just a mistranslation. That was my concern the original time as well, in addition to Fighteer addressing it when they originally appealed.

I'm getting a little confused by the insistence to ignore the English translation. Are they talking about a Japanese-language website with the character's name in latin characters or is this an English-language website run by a Japanese company? I don't see a link to the website in question, so I can't verify it myself.

In the previous ATT query about them, they used examples from Digimon.net, which I believe is the first option of what you said. While it does have an English option, it doesn't translate that much into English.

I know that they made mention that they're a mod for the Digimon Wikia, so maybe they're pulling from that as well? This is all very confusing.

Looking at their posts, it appears that they speak Japanese and have decided that their own personal translation is the only correct one, and that the fools over at whatever company makes Digimon keep translating their own products incorrectly.

^^ Yeah, to be frank they're awful at explaining things. Like... Notice how, in the thread, they claim I admitted I was wrong? That was about a different question than this one. For Pete's sake...

And the way I was wrong was because he was using poor English, by the way. He was trying to claim that there was a toy called a Digivice: [sic, including the colon] but he accidentally claimed it was called the Digivice: Toy since he used a capital T for "Toy".

Worst thing is, I don't think he's trying to conceal the fact that I conceded to being wrong about a different matter. He's just that awful at explaining things to other people.
