Pretty sure the rule of thumb is that it's bad form to delete anyone's WMG entry for any reason, unless it outright violates site rules.

I just received an answer to my PM. The trooper thinks that the WMG page should not be for conversations. They also did not revert the edit.

The relevant page is at Conversation in the Main Page - it explicitly says "... this is okay in supplements that are made for it, like Headscratchers pages." so they are completely wrong about this.
...WMG isn't made for it though.

And yes, WMG is made for it. Go to any WMG of any work. Plenty of discussion.

That doesn't mean the discussion belongs there, it means the potential rulebreaking has gone unchecked due to too many people doing it.
Note that I said "potential". I won't deny that I may be wrong. But I don't thing WMG is intended to have discussions like that.

The rules page for WMG says nothing against or for conversations. I'm willing to allow it in WMG cuz I assumed the "mass" referred to the collective discussion of theories.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
To be clear, the only point I'm really trying to make is that just because something is common doesn't mean it's actually allowed. Whether it is or not doesn't really phase me, but I don't want us to assume that they're meant to be discussion venues just because they're used that way.

I'll wait for more mod fiat, but given that Berrenta agreed that this person was wrong to delete the response, I assume discussion about the plausibility of WMG is allowed. It's a much more lax section of the wiki, and I like it that way.

Seconded (or thirded). Discussion should be allowed on WMG pages, because they were made to speculate about certain plots.

In the WMG.Fate Grand Order page, a troper called wren locklear
deleted a bit of WMG with the edit reason "don't add "probably not" to my WMG". Mind you, I'm not here to report this guy, his edits are fairly legit as far as I can tell, but this struck me as weird. Isn't WMG basically the weird theory debate page?
