Monster Hunter

I need a little bit of help with something. I'm trying to grab the Guild Bard Armor but people are all over the place on how to get Pinnacle Coins. Any advice on how to get them?

I have obtained a 3DS and Monster Hunter 4. Woohoo!

I have thus far created my character and that's it.
Any advice, friendcodes, etc?
I enjoyed the switchaxe in Tri.

Trying to hunt down a ruby basarios is painful. Managed to capture one, only to learn that I don't actually get any ruby basarios parts for that. And I never got the guild quest either.

Time to desperately try to find one online, I suppose. Unless one of you happens to have one?

Expeditions have been quite a pain in the ass so far. Save Scumming yourself the right monster/treasure rooms works for me, as for now I haven't unlocked many monster. But all HR guild quests I got require being HR 7, and on LR expeditions I hardly get any quests at all.

I'd like to do some guild quest during high-rank, but I don't see any point for it since they either have monsters that give low rewards or are locked via HR anyway.

Daimyo was never that hard, back in Freedom Unite you could take a G-Class variant down 10 minutes, solo and with High-Rank gear. His purple friend on the other hand, yeah, that guy took me the full 50 minutes back than with my crappy weapons.

Also, congratulations on finishing the tutorial.

And wow, my preparations for Crimson were totally useless. All the weapons I use are obtained at G-Rank and the armor really isn't that great.

Just beat the HR Village Seregios.

Damn, I love this thing. Nargacuga might have a challenger for my favorite monster now. It's like fighting all the best parts of a pinecone, a lawn mower, and a twelve-gauge. And its greatsword looks incredibly useful.

Nobody likes Congalala, and he deserves it. But Emerald looks kinda funny with his horns broken.

And once again, Shagaru gives me all the materials I need in the first fight, ain't gonna see him until G-Rank. Now after that heroic battle, I'm off to fishing for that sweet Le Traqueur.

Congalala does an insane amount of splash damage while blocking. That and the stink attack makes him a middle finger to lancers. Had to build a longsword, but i can't get folks online to go for him (not a key quest in 2-star)

I'm currently punching above my weight again armor-wise, and fought E. Conga with standard Gravios armor. It sucked, to say the least.

Surprisingly, Monoblos was not nearly as much of a pain, even though he hits like a truck. I guess that's because he fights so much like Diablos, whom I was well acquainted with in both 3 and 3U.

Gravios armor comes with all the perfect skills for GS, though, and I forged the Hermitaur GS to go with it, mainly for the defense boost. It turns out Hermitaur S armor is just a better version of normal Gravios armor, so I'm thinking of getting it.

Monoblos was also way easier since you could just jump on his head.

That too. I'm surprised that, having been jumped on by me from a destructible pillar half a dozen times, he never tried to ram said pillar and eliminate my advantage.

x5 Were you the owner of the room, or were you in someone else's room? If you want to do specific quests, the best way to get people to do them with you would be to host your own room.

Geez, I really need to git gud and move up to High Rank for that Zelda DLC.

I have now obtained a full Jaggi set and a Barbarian Axe(also Jaggi).

Yay! Just finished my first set, speed sharpening is handy and the fire weakness doesn't matter here. Let's celebrate by going to a VOLCANO! ~facepalm~

I just recently fought my first Seregios. It was the DLC Seregios, so that meant having to dodge all those blades on the decks of the Arluq. Pretty hectic, but still quite a bit of fun; I also have the Seregios Insect Glaive to show for it as well.

I'm aware, DinoTurtle, although farming specific monsters is a little trickier in low-rank anyway, because most people are just passing through.

You know what I hate? Monoblos Hearts. I've fought this 'blos nearly 10 times, and have't gotten a single heart. This is the one item I really need to finish his damn armor, and I only need one of them. Kiranico gives a 6% chance to getting his the heart if you capture, and that's apparently th highest chance under my current circumstances.

Also, Monoblos is offline only. >___<

Maybe you're more successfull if you do your subquest. I think I got most of my rare drops from the subquest reward while hardly any from the actual quest. What I'm sure of is that I'm drowning in Rathalos Rubies/Mantles since I've started doing this for charm runs.

I recently had a Deviljho hijack a hunt for a Gravios. I must say, Deviljho actually looks tiny when standing next to the Gravios. Kind of takes the fear factor away...but only a little.

I've actually managed to do the Subquest nearly every time. One issue, though, is I keep getting killed once. It's been awhile since I've died twice fighting him, but he keeps taking me down at least once. I've been fighting in low rank Gravios armor, and so my defense is a little lacking. I've started wearing most of the Monoblos armor, though, with the exception of the chest piece. That's the piece that requires the heart.
