That prinny promotional production is also up.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyMadreas looks closer to a succubus than Seraphina.
At least he has horns.

It serves to justify the abilities that she's shown.
Which is more than characters like Etna can claim.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyAnd that's about all it seems to justify.
At least Etna thinks she's the goddess of sex appeal (sometimes) and has a tail.
Seraphina?
She has a weak justification for having a heart motif.

Fair enough on that point I suppose.
Still wouldn't have hurt to give her something physical to give credence to the succubus thing.
No, pink hair doesn't quite count.
Nor do her breasts in this case.
Well this happened.
The Asagi thing is just announcing her Japanese VA, BTW.
Meanwhile, Usalia tries to turn "curry power" into an actual thing.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI certainly hope it won't work on Baal.
Speaking of Baal, this game is absolutely going to be his most powerful incarnation thus far.
Some post-battle D5 art.
Highlights include a tiny Skull, a Gunner protecting ladies at a picnic, and an Archer craving some Pirate booty.

If Baal turns out to be more powerful than in D2, I may cry.
Lurker ExtraordinaireAnime News Network did a translation on Seraphina's character vid.
Further confirmation in my mind that Seraphina is an Unreliable Expositor and absolutely not a succubus.
Or Unreliable Narrator, the distinction really isn't that clear.

I don't know why you're so against Seraphina being a succubus. The character vid itself states her as such. Plus, you know, Seraphina having a maougi that's based on her seducing her enemies into attacking each other, having the hair color as the succubus class and being a fanservice character. There really isn't anything to disprove otherwise.

A lack of either horns or a visible tail.
Hair color and breast size (if nowhere near to the same extent for the latter) don't mean much when those apply to Artina of all people, as well.
For the record, the reverse applies to Overlord Priere, as she claims to not be a succubus despite having most or all of their physical traits and next to none of their typical mental traits.

Aren't succubi shapeshifters anyway? Or am I thinking of a different game?
They can turn their tails into things and change their wings into a cape.
I haven't seen anything to suggest they can do things with their horns or remove things completely.
So your argument for Seraphina not being a Succubus is because she lacks the physical traits that the generic succubus class has? Well, it could be because Seraphina is a humanoid unit while the succubi is a monster class. Kinda like with Emizel and the death class.
I don't see how being humanoid would remove the wings and horns.
If I recall, most of the humanoids (Or at least, their D1 designs) have wings, for example, even if small and just for show.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.^^ Come to think of it, that kind of hints that demons that look humanoid may not be that way in their true form or whatever. Doesn't one of Valvatorez's skills imply that he's actually a humongous freaky black dragon? And Hugo is a reaper that walks around like a human most of the time.
Which wouldn't make much sense (not denying it though).
Why be a comparatively puny-looking unit all the time when you can be freaking Godzilla and be physically intimidating?
And if you say that they do it so that they can move tie-in merchandise easier I will slap you.
Because that also makes you a bigger target. I would also imagine it would be inconvenient. I'm thinking like what happened when Goku tried to practice using his Super Saiyan form in everyday life during Dragon Ball Z.

Humongous freaky black dragons don't have hands. Hands are nice. And maybe he knows that monster type characters always seem to end up inferior to humanoid classes.
Though really I'm not sure why succubi are a monster class to begin with.

Probably because they have abilities more in line with monsters, than with humanoid characters.
This could be a confusing line of thought to chase down.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.
Seraphina's character video is out!
