I'll guess I'll post this teaser announcement.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! There are a few mechanics I'd like to return from Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia, but probably the one I can see returning the most realistically is dungeon crawling. I actually really enjoy that mechanic.
I also kind of want Mages learning spells to be a thing again too, but I know realistically it probably wouldn't happen.

Just got finished with the second battle against Berkut. Damn, got to give props to Ian Sinclair, he really nailed it as Berkut.
Also had a chuckle at Celica's "you couldn't possibly understand!" to her companions. Teenagers, huh? Even in medieval fantasy, they never change...
'Awakening Paralogue 2: The Secret Seller
Another paralogue in which I take on bandits, this time led by this game's version of the bandit brothers. And once the mission starts, I see they apparently dabble in human trafficking, and think Anna would make a good slave. We can't have that, now can we. Anna seemed to be able to hold her own mostly, taking out the Barbarians that threatened the village, but she went down before we could reach her and I started the mission over. On my second try, I brought more mounted units to reach her faster, and that worked much better. But even when I had Chrom talk to her, she still didn't join my party, nor did she join after the mission was over. I'm guessing it wasn't possible to recruit her? Anyway, she did promise some deep discounts if we ever see her again. But more importantly, now that the map is clear, I can now buy Javelins and Hand Axes.

Heroes: Me and Sully
Awakening Chapter 6: Foreseer
Now back to the main story. I knew when I saw this mission was going to be in Ylisstol that something major was going to go down. And that something was an assassination attempt on the Exalt, that we thankfully were warned about by "Marth". "Marth" also lost her mask in the fighting. Now came the time to protect the Exalt from her would-be killers, led by none other than Validar, the Sorcerer from the Premonition. While the stated objective was to rout the enemy, in practice it was more of a defensive mission. I sent Chrom over, accompanied by Frederick and Lissa, to the west side of the map to talk to Gaius the Thief, who was having second thoughts about being with the group now that their true goal became clear. But what really won him over was candy! This did leaved them in an awkward position with incoming Dark Mages and Chrom with no way to retaliate against ranged attacks, but he and Frederick managed to hold the line and take them out on our next Player Phase. Meanwhile, we had Panne the Taguel join our party after "Marth" assured us that she is an ally despite her dislike of humans in general. We now have a killer rabbit on our side! Once we got our recruiting done, I sent Gaius to unlock the chest in Emmeryn's room while the rest of us sealed off the chokepoints to block the incoming attackers. Once they were taken down, it was time for the confrontation with Validar himself. Apparently, he thought the same thing, because he decided to go in the offensive, too ... after we just wiped the floor with all of his underlings and he was the only enemy left. That worked out about as well as you might expect. Thanks to the forewarning of "Marth", a terrible future has been averted ... for now. But once again, she disappeared after the fight ended.

Heroes: Me and Sully
And finally, Chrom and Frederick's C support conversation had me literally laughing out loud! I wouldn't be surprised if some fan artist out there tried to make a real version of the posters Frederick commissioned. And no, I don't want to see it.

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.I had to reset on Chapter 11 New Mystery because I forgot to bring my Silver and VIP cards. However, I could have compared the pre-battle banter.
So...
Original: Jagen goes on a long-ass explanation about the history of Anri and his lover Artemis. Guess for Archanea history buffs, it would be great, kind of like the Eight Legends in Elibe. But unfortunately, it just felt like an 'extra' to me.
New Mystery: Jagen shortens the history into a Laconic version. On one hand, it implies that at least Marth reads his own history book, instead of coming off like a Prince that doesn't even know his land's history (dumbass). On the other hand, I think this is where the detractors really come in. First Kris praises Marth saying that he's strong due to being a Magnetic Hero, and Marth... says 'I have many companions. Wonderful companions like you, Kris'. Yep, I guess they ain't kiddin' when they say Kris get singled out. However... what I see is that Kris is just one but many companions accompanying Marth, not just him being the only one that matters, very sure he'll say the same to the rest if they even talked to him like that. But just to decrease redundancy, I guess he'll just cut off to the guy who actually talked to him (and praised him).
... All right, I'll give it +1 Sue point. 7.5 points. Honestly, I'm still not convinced that Kris is the second worst thing to embrace FE history just behind Conquest!Corrin (which I kind of disagree about the bashing about them)... but at this point I can understand why people say they are pissed. There are 24 chapters, if Kris reaches 12 points, I guess I can say that I may be agreeing on the guys here... without falling to bile. I'll just chalk it as 'I'm fine with Kris, but IS dropped the balls on it, they made Kris with elements that could generate hatred on fans. But I'll forgive it since it's their first attempt on a talking Avatar (after Mark).'
Berkut having a mental breakdown after the border battle was some of the best voice acting I've heard in a Nintendo game at all.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So I'm probably the last to find out, but I just got Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones on the Wii U's virtual console, and I noticed they (and presumably all Virtual Console games) have savestate functionality.
I mean, I'd very much prefer to finish them the way they were meant to be played, but damn. That's going to be really tempting when I hit the harder chapters.

If they made Echoes: Jugdral (Genealogy/Thracia), I do wonder: What scenes would be turned into animated cutscenes for the game? I mean, there's the obvious one (Belhalla), but what else?
Actually, Belhalla might be a problem. The original I think could get away with how horrific the original was due to using the overworld sprites. For an animated version... You have to show Sigurd being atomised by Fala Flame onscreen. I say atomised, because there is no way Nintendo would let there be any implication of his charred corpse being left behind. That isn't even getting into the fate of the others, although they can use more subdued C Gs for that.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...It is also restricted to characters from Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I mean, the setting could be changed a little so that Sigurd and crew are in the castle proper before it gets Valflame'd to hell, with the last shot being a deeply troubled Sigurd's face that is suddenly obscured by a gout of flame. It'd get the point across without delving into the gruesome shit.
*Sigh*
... It'd be nice if the Gaiden cast got invited too, at least.

I sure said that! All interest, gone.
i. hear. a. sound.Celica sure ain't above it all
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! It honestly makes sense though. Limit the cast for the first outing, then expand with DLC or sequel.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Also, they've said that the playable cast for this Musou will be larger than any other First Musou game.
If the OG twins have customizable movesets based on every standard FE class, there's plenty of reason for why they might want to restrict what characters they can choose for the first outing.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Oh, and triple posting, but here's some snippets from that article that I found interesting:
- The weapon triangle, high strategy elements, and classes that are mainstay in the Fire Emblem series are in.
- The reason all the protagonists from the Fire Emblem games are not being included is because if they did that, everyone would be using a sword.
- You can switch characters while playing, so you'll be able to control various weapons and classes of characters.
- Archers and magic users will be playable.
- Units that ride a horse, such as the Cavalier, always fight on horse. They're designed to have high mobility.
- "Bond Conversations" are being prepared as support conversations. There is a huge amount of text, including serious conversations and goofy conversations.
Bolded stuff being particularly interesting to me, mostly because it's stuff I've hoped for. That puts it closer to games like Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 and HW Legends and that's great because I enjoyed both of those Musou games!
Some other stuff they said was that it is currently 70% complete and that it was in planned before Famitsu's collaboration Musou title survey (y'know, the one where it landed fourth place amongst which game series the fans would want Musou gameplay off).
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Shion's hairstyle burn my eyes. Lian looks fine.
Also:
Ephraim and Hector are crying in a corner.
Honestly, my only real wishes for characters are Veronica -and tag team of Candace and Nichol
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!FE Warriors is using only original/Awakening/Fates characters?
Yawn...... how boring and predictable.
Honestly kills some of my hype for it....
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood! Some outlets are using "only" others are using "mostly."
Siliconera is using "mostly" and this translator goes into detail about how Famitsu used "primary" and he feels more comfortable with the term "only" because it didn't specify what other games would be in.
I'm impressed. KT managed to create a pair of OCs that make me pine for Alfonse. I hope they're customizable, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Not surprised they're going the mostly SD/Awakening/Fates route after Tokyo Mirage Sessions, but it still sucks. Yeah we'll get the others in via DLC, but that's forking over more money to get some decent characters.
This does kill my hype a little, yeah.
I would prefer it to have previous games but I like the Awakening and Fates casts so it doesn't really bother me but I do think it's a little odd that Alm and Celica might not make it.
This song needs more love.I might bite if it turns out to be a "mostly" rather than "only." Otherwise, I'm not interested.
And for the record, I like Fates and Awakening, but I also like the rest of the series. Crap like this just encourages the fandom to be more divided than it already is.
Maybe just have it so that they can get a higher weapon rank than is normal for one weapon type only?
Like, taking Hayato, he would get one rank higher in Tome than he normally would, which would make him rather flexible as a Basara (potential A rank in Lances and Tomes) or more offensively geared as an Onmyoji (S Tomes and B Staves).
