You know, every time I hear Felicia's "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" voice clip, I always think of her losing her balance while carrying a tray of expensive china cups.
I have two bits of advice that I need before attempting Chapter 24. First of all, is that I have an as of yet open place for another staff user. Elise is a mainstay in this run, rest assured, but I feel like I should have a second healer, and can't decide who to give it to. I have the option of Shura, Izana, Felicia, Jakob or Flora (I suppose I could reclass someone with the Troubadour option, but I somehow doubt I want to lose Effie as my tank).
The other is what I should do to maximize Corrin's remaining skills. She's almost level 18, so she can learn 3 more skills before needing an eternal seal, and I almost certainly won't have the funds for that. I'm leaning towards Counter and the two Nohr Noble skills, but she could also pick up skills from Malig Knight, Hero, or any of the Ninja/Sky Knight promotions.
Any thoughts?

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I half agree with you. In SSB I agree with you simply because the AI is bullshit and is entirely based on how lucky you are.
In Kid Icarus I'm not sure whether or not I agree with you, since the levels are intelligently designed and beating a level on 9.0 is supposed to be incredibly tough.
Honestly, the solution to this issue was already designed well before SSB 4 came around- and was found up through Brawl. That is, if you want to continue, you've got to pay a small amount of the coins you have saved up. The higher your difficulty the more you gotta pay, and if you can't/don't want to afford it you get bumped down.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeEkimmak: If you're just looking for a dedicated staffer to drop in, choose whoever has the highest Mag. Otherwise, Izana gets you a rally you don't normally see in Conquest and provides chip damage against the weaker of the enemy's defenses.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiWell fuck, I caved in and have decided to try to re-do the forest of faceless chapter, but I had saved over the file, because I thought I could stick with "no resetting" but the next chapter is getting frustrating with the lack of units I am expected to have.
I suppose I'll just be doing Lunatic Classic Blind Conquest and carefully weigh my options about resetting or not.
Until I start having a large enough army, I will probably be very clingy to all my units.
At least for now, I can just pick Branch of Fate and skip directly to said forest chapter.
On unrelated notes; Hero Battles are way out of my league for now. And I probably should spend less time visiting Castles...
If you want to preserve the difficulty, not visiting castles is advised. If you utilize all the features there, you can get some pretty busted stuff.
One thing to keep in mind is that Branch of Fate on Lunatic will preserve level-up rolls for characters who joined during the pre-Branch chapters (it pre-rolls all rolls for all levels when they join so that you can't save scum them). Depending on outlook, this can be either a boon or a reason to fully restart the game.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiIzana it is, then. He has the highest magic, plus all those other things you said.
I think I'll just go for the "Counter" "Draconic Hex" "Nohrian Trust" skills. Even though lancebreaker would make things even more hilarious, I need to get her back into a tome-using class, her Mag-boon has been going to waste all this time.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. Are they pre-prgrammed to be specific numbers, or are they based on what rolls I had gotten during my initial playthrough up to that point? I didn't really pay attention.
I also swapped my boon from Speed to Skill. More frequent skill triggers, crits and hits are good to have when some weapons don't have follow-ups.
(speed is the best boon in the game and gives you almost as many skill points as the skill boon does)
(seriously speed is so good it's the best stat in the game)
(speed)
anyway I'm fairly sure the stats are pre-programmed- the stat rolls just affect level up.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeYou know, instead of being fairly sure of stuff, you could always check the wiki or Serene's.
The +/- stats you choose at the beginning of the game affect your Unit's modifiers for max stats, their base stats, and their growth rates. By proxy, they also affect Kana's, or any other child unit where your unit is a parent.
I knew that. volitile was talking about the units that join you, and whether their stats are always the same when they join you, which is what I responded to in the second half.
furthermore, the reason i dont do that is because I'm lazy but I'm pretty sure I'm right. which is why i said "fairly sure".

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeSorry then. Yeah, units that join have fixed base stats, although those tend to change according to path and difficulty.
I was referring to skipping to Branch of Fate and if the "gained" levels and stats are pre-set or based on what your first playthrough got.
Though I'm not nearly a perfectionist enough to go and endure that again on Lunatic Classic. Early Game Hell is in full effect if you want to keep anyone from dying, and even if you didn't care, have fun tackling future chapters with less than expected units!
Happy birthday, Kaze and Saizo!
Guess what I got?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?A bug.
Edit: You know, for as silly as Izana is most of the time, he probably gives Charlotte a run for her money for "most unsettling advantage portrait".

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Well I did catch a cold yesterday.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Candy for Saizo?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So, some months ago, I decided to have Swordmaster!Shiro use Sunrise Katanas and Siegbert use Nohrian Blades. Guess who has a Katana mightier than the legendary one his father wields...
Interesting. Honestly didn't expect that they would bother to make it like that and totally expected them to just give you pre-made "average" values for that point if you skip the introductions.
If Xander and Leo's supports mention that the former is good at swimming, but his tropical CG has him using a floatie... how terrible must everyone in Nohr be at swimming?
Umm... so, personally... this is the first time this has happened, so I'm a bit surprised. Only a centimetre away...x2 Well, it's probably about the same amount of work either way, so they probably just went with the solution that was more personalized.
Hoshido stole all the water along with the rest of Nohr's prosperity, so they don't actually get much of a chance to swim, making even floating very impressive.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiBased on the map we see in-game, we can determine that, at the least, most of Nohr is further away from major bodies of water than most of Hoshido is.
I sure said that!
Starting Lunatic+ soon.
