Did you capture Defense Daddy a.k.a. Haitaka?

She's not much for combat, even if you hit her caps- She can fend off an attacker or two on enemy phase but her job is singing and supporting with area skills, not poking things with sticks.

Unless you're obnoxiously lucky, Azura's defence will always be terrible. She can take a magic hit thanks to her high resistance, and her ridiculous speed will give her some decent dodging chances, but in general, she can't take a physical hit, and because her strength isn't much better, she probably won't ever need to.

I think, aside from the first two chapters, I had an average of three resets per chapter on Conquest Hard. Some of them were easier, some of them were harder, but they always struck terror into me whenever looking at the map for the first time.

Azura's strength is amazing. In my Rev file her strength was on par with her speed and she was in the best position to take out a boss or two. She folds like wet tissue, and she can't get higher than C-lances (not that she'll ever get there), but she can kill an enemy once in awhile if she needs too.

It does mean she can't use Silver Lances, which are among the better options for Dual Strike support (and since she should be singing, she should only ever see combat use through Dual Strikes).

Really? Must just be that I've been obnoxiously unlucky as of late, or that her cap at C rank really hampers her damage.

that's why I reclassed her to Sky Knight -> Falcon Knight in my last playthrough

I reclassed her to Falcon Knight a few times. She's actually pretty good as a Falcon Knight.

I've also thought she was rather decent as a Great Lord.

it surpasses her usefulness as any other class

imo, the best thing to do is make her go through another class set for skills and stat growths, then make her back in to Songstress.

Especially so for Great Knight, netting her some extra defense along with Luna and Armored Blow. Her high skill makes Luna an excellent skill for her to have.

I was lucky enough to find an Azura with Pavise when going through other peoples' castles. That Pavise skill has helped out my game's Azura a few times.

The only Skill from reclassing that's really worth it is that Kinshi Knight Skill that heals allies in 2 spaces. It stacks with her Personal and is pretty great.

That's discounting the potential skills she could get from reclassing using a Partner Seal, right?

Yeah, I was talking mostly about Heart Sealing her.

I can't think of any class or skills that would make it worth losing out on Sing for any period of time, especially when Sing-Shelter shenanigans are so strong.

This was Hard Mode Conquest Chapter 22, for the record.

Makes you wish that they'd find a workaround for the obvious exploit of having two dancer type units so they could have two dancer type units.

They could do what Disgaea did, and make it so that someone can only receive one extra turn per turn.

Next game should have Miracle+ as an AI skill. It always procs.

Ok, maybe not "scrap entire file if Avatar dies" resetless, but at least "don't pussy out because somebody died" resetless.

And if I end up pulling my hair out, I'll just start an easier file.

So Luck is terribad, speed and skill (and magic and strength?) are solid, but what is "gift?"

The bane stat can somewhat be repaired. You can build statues that will raise a specific stat of the character in question, and upgrade them to spread the effects to C-rank allies, and then everyone in the army.

Corrin's statue is for their Boon, Corrin's child's statue will be for their bane.

Your Talent is the class you can reclass to with a Heart Seal.

Corrin has two base classes; Nohr Prince(ss), and whatever you choose as your talent.

Getting to A-support rank with any same-gender unit (except Niles and Rhajat) will allow you to also borrow their classes via Friendship Seals.

Oh, okay, neat. And I'm guessing "dragon" is more like Wyvern Knight than Manakete? Considering Corrin already is a dragon or what the hell ever that Arceus Deer thing is.

Arceus-Deer? Our Dragons Are Different.

I really like it from a symbolic perspective- It has the build of a kirin but the detailed features of a Western-style dragon.

Yeah, "dragon" means Wyvern Rider. The rest are pretty intuitive IIRC.
