People don't have agency unless they kill all their enemies with their bare hands. True fact.
To be strictly fair, I didn't really want her to kill, just for a character to resolve her own subplot, instead of having some other guy do it for her, in a rather condescending method of preventing her from soiling her own purity, or some bullshit like that.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.I'll also note that your suggestion takes agency away from Wallace, technically. And they all take agency away from the bandits.
That is technically true, but it does nothing to make this any less infuriating.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.What did Wallace do again?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Heh. I just got B support with Virion and Libra. Poor Virion is experiencing a huge case of Stupid Sexy Flanders.
And then there's the B support for Frederick and Maribelle. That's the first time I've seen someone's face go completely red like that.
Cracks Rob up it does.
One Strip! One Strip!Alm got bows on promotion. (also, Bows had 1-3 range in that game, extended even higher once they promote to third tier or if you equip them with a better bow)
But yeah. Holmes from Tear Ring Saga is a Bow using Lord, and in contrast to Alm and Lyn, he gets swords on promotion instead of the opposite.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.That face helped propel Maribelle into my top 5 Awakening characters.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Holmes is also a thief lord.
Holmes is great. His dialogue is the best.
all FE archers should learn archery from lars anderson so they can get 1-2 range =I
just a thought. plus, archers bouncing around the place sound way more entertaining than the modern style stand-still archers the games usually have.
So here's a question that I've always had: How in the bloody hell do you rob a character of their agency? I've heard that phrase thrown around a few times and while I guess I understand the words (the character has a choice made for them rather than making the choice themselves), I don't understand the point of the argument.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!judging from minority-in-gaming related incidents, removing agency from someone appears to basically be akin to taking control away from them.
when you invalidate someones opinion because you assume they're being manipulated and thus cannot say anything valid- you're removing their agency to have opinions.
when you prevent someone from being able to make a choice by making that choice for them without consulting them, you've robbed them of their agency to make that choice.
but like, the world happens to be a place where everyone periodically gets individual moments of agency taken away from them, because we do not live in a vaccuum where only actions aimed specifically at us affect us, or where choices we make only affect ourselves.
the complaint mainly seems to be based on a singular moment. we can agree not to like wallace's actions, but its not inherently awful because of a single instance of agency being taken away, because afterall agency being taken away from someone is a natural consequence of acting in an interconnected world.
mind you, i dont like wallace taking that choice away from lyn, but my problem isnt really "he stole her agency this one, solitary time" but rather because he made this choice iirc, to protect lyn from something she didnt ask nor show any desire to be protected from.

incidentally, i kind of want a main lord character who is a cleric. preferably without the timid doormat personality.
Oh, okay. I can agree about the whole removal of agency in regards to protecting someone from something they never asked to be protect from but there are also situations where that's the best idea (but that's neither here nor there).
However, I've seen people use that argument as the sole reason for not liking something and I find that absurd.
Anyway, I really need to get back to Sword of Seals and then replay either Blazing Sword or Sacred Stones. Not sure which one yet.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!at last! chapter 5 done with. and sumia and lon'qu and lissa all got really good levels too.
so wait, why does lucina's falchion glow in chapter 6?
validar appears to have real time information on exactly who is in the palace when he notices "actors who arent supposed to be on stage"- which im a bit confused about myself because as far as i know, this is validar before he gets future knowledge(???)- i think robin mentions early on being able to see like a birds eye view of the map but i just assumed this was a mental projection. validars knowledge seems to indicate its a hereditary special ability though @_@ but then doesnt he rush into the castle because he doesnt actually know what happened to his multiple waves of units?
confused tarsen is confused.

I think he may have been referring to Chrom, who was supposed to be crippled by an assassin, but that's just conjecture on my part.
Also, about Wallace; I liked what he did, since a) Those bandits murdered his closest friends, so in terms of vendetta he has as much of a right to wanting them dead as Lyn does, b) his goal in killing them for her was because her hatred of them was too consuming: she only wanted to kill them to satisfy her hatred, as evidenced by her B and A support with Wallace. Wallace killed them to prevent what sort of change may have overtaken Lyn had she killed them while still hating them as she did.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!I'm reasonably sure the game centres on Robin when Validar says that. As for how he knows, felt like the game implied the meta-knowledge thing was a tactician ability of sorts and Validar is kind of indicated to be one himself. It's probably one of things, like giving real time orders to units across the battlefield, that's best not thought too hard about, though. >.>

i guess he's just shocked that the person he's been looking for for so long just suddenly happens to turn up during his ambush.
but mang, that wording...

I don't get why Falchion was glowing.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think it's really obscure foreshadowing of Grima hanging around to bail Validar's ass out after he gets ganked during the assassination attempt.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiThere really is no reason why it should glow. It doesn't have that power.
It's a magic sword. What kind of Magic Sword doesn't glow? If it ain't glowing, it ain't Magical enough yet.
One Strip! One Strip! It's not a magic sword though. Not really.
iirc, is basically just a dragon tooth.
a dentist's spoils, basically.
If there was a bow that could do both short and long range, they'd be a lot more useful.
They'd be usable during enemy phases for one thing
