I... uh... made a tumblr post. Everything should in my tumblr archives (which is pretty much the only point of it).

Making powerful youkai physically terrifying is something I've tried to do in my writing, but it comes across much better in a visual medium. Something to think about.

And everyone is so cute in that comic. My teeth hurt!

EDIT: Also the imgur link is appreciated, as it makes it easier to read the whole thing in a go without a lengthy download. I wonder if it'd be different with a worse connection, though?

If the first page hadn't mentioned that kappa would play a role in these chapters, I'd probably have been fooled by the disguise, too. It was still shady-looking, but I wouldn't have been able to know what exactly was under it. I do find it strange that in the panel where Mamizou identifies her as a kappa, Nitori is shorter than herself. Stilts, maybe?

Also, gossip mags are apparently the Vendor Trash of Gensokyo.

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.

OK, so guys, just a heads-up for anyone still interested in the Touhou Char Page: the pics should start getting switched to their final form, ZUN-Art, soon. I would really politely ask anyone who has any interest in the char page pics to please join us at the char page pic discussion thread. We're super few people there, and I foresee pretty substantial discussions over there soon over several topics (those being: usage of Fighting Game Art or not; what to do about PC-98; what to do about chars with no ZUN-Art; possibly others). Whatever side you're on, please, if you care about this, maybe bookmark the page or something and check in sometimes and help the democratic process!

If you don't care, I fully understand and respect that. I don't want to disrupt this thread here with this topic anymore.

(EDIT: Well, see, Clarste, this is just the kind of stuff that I need additional people in the discussion thread for; to provide a wider spectrum of opinions and just more discussion in general. Because even simple-seeming questions like those can become issues.)

What happens to Kokoro?

I really really love Kosuzu's facial expressions here, her expressions of fear, doubt and annoyance were all conveyed so perfectly in this issue. And that scene where Reimu just basically admits defeat and gets frustrated at Aya's gambit was done so magnificently well.

Can't wait for the next issue! Hopefully things will be shaken up. That ominous scene with Kosuzu being surrounded by Youkai is so brilliantly done that I want to see future issues dive deeper into the darker elements of Gensoukyou.

Even in the canon Three Fairies mangas there were plenty of chapters which were anything but pranks.

So the main characters page image got changed again, by the same person as last time. It's still an indistinguishable, misleading blur

So, who do you guys think will be the first Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom character that will be featured in either of the two side-manga?

All of them seem to have decent chances to drop in on Gensokyo, and there really isn't much of a pattern on what character from a new game will first pop up in the manga (For example, Kyouko was the first Ten Desires character to get the Character Title treatment in WaHH)

As for me, I'm thinking Hecatia will appear first, specifically in FS. She did say that she'd like to visit Gensokyo, and I could imagine a Mystery of the Week around The Wild Hunt.

The first Lo LK character to pop up was Sagume with her back turned revealing that she had braided hair. Then a chibified Hecatia in a defeated position a few pages later. In the latest FS released yesterday. Mind you, both these appearances were really minor cameos, if we're talking full-fledged appearances I'd wager seeing Ringo or Hecatia first.

Ringo seems to be the most likely one to me since she's actually living in Gensokyo while Hecatia and Clownpiece live in hell, Sagume and probably Seiran are back at the Moon, Doremy's in the Dream Wolrd and I have no idea where Junko is, though she's probably with Hecatia.

The two ladies were awfully skinny, though, almost distractingly. The nerd in me appreciated the Star Wars cameos and the nautilus fanatic in me appreciated the nautilus cameo.
