After getting stuck for a long time on Junko's final spellcard with 4/5 of a bomb and having to give up, I decided to restore morale by beating Easy with no bombs. At least I can do something...
Sanae Pointdevice
The Moriya Shrine. A relatively new shrine on the Youkai Mountain.
Sanae: —Then I vanquished the villain with my final special move, and saved the moon. And that's how I became worshiped on the moon as their messiah.
Sanae: That should do it. Now all that's left is to add some illustrations.
Kanako: ...So this is your report on the incident?
Sanae: Yes, it's my heroic epic.
Kanako: Hmm, the contents are quite astonishing, but how much of it is true?
Sanae: About 80%, if you only count the unbelievable stuff.
Kanako: Next time you write a report, try to make it 100% true.
Kanako: ...I see, I see. So the Lunar Capital was planning to relocate to Gensokyo... But this bit about the Lunar Capital itself being invaded, is that true?
Sanae: Yes, that's what happened.
Kanako: If that's true, then the reason the Lunarian requested you for the job would be...
Sanae: Because I'm strong, right?
Kanako: Because they had an enemy they couldn't approach themselves.
Kanako: This Sagume... could she be...?
Sanae: Someone you know? She was quite odd.
Kanako: No. If she's the Sagume though, then the Lunarians are the heavenly gods'...
After saying this, Kanako started to think to herself. Wouldn't this mean that some of the Lunarians had divine lineages? No matter how reluctant they may have been, these people had been intending to descend to Earth. Wouldn't that be the second coming of the original heavenly descent (TL note: apparently Amaterasu's grandson first descending to Earth was some incredibly important event with a fancy name). While Sanae may have been oblivious to this, preventing such an event was quite praiseworthy for a native god. This girl really does have it in her, thought Kanako.
Ending #5: Qualified as a God of the Earth

Sanae is the best
Heart of StoneIn case you forgot your Japanese mythology, the heavenly gods conquered Japan from the earthly gods way back when, which is the conflict that Kanako and Suwako's battle represents. As Suwako's descendent, Sanae stopping the heavenly gods from conquering Gensokyo could be considered a long awaited payback.
oh my god junkos last spell is fucking impossible without a bomb
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaProbably intentional, given that it's not immune to bombs. Dunno why, though
Bomb immunity hasn't been a thing since Ten Desires, I think.
Heart of StoneI find it funny how Sagume has two different spellcards that can be captured just by going up to her face and shooting her. Although one of them only works with Sanae and Marisa (the explosions kill the orbs around you and you break the spell before the bullets start moving since she's not balanced around taking constant damage).

This was linked a couple of pages back, but I think it's the best depiction of Junko so far. A lot of people seem to have the wrong impression of her personality, based on her profile and whatnot, but this is the real Junko. Engrave it into your mind.

My impression of her is that she's the moon's resident supervillain
I don't think "supervillain" is a personality though?
Personally, I'm really enjoying the part in Reisen's scenario where she's talking to Junko about Lunarian society.
Junko: Perhaps the citizens of lunacy have descended into sanity.
Reisen: Who knows. I'm just here to do my job, so I wouldn't really know about lunacy or sanity. But I can say this! The people of the moon will remain in lunacy! Unwavering lunacy, absolute lunacy! If they didn't, there's no way I would have taken this job!
Lunarians confirmed for a bunch of total whackjobs, basically. I mean, not that we didn't already know that (calm your tits with the CLEANSE THIS IMPURE WORLD stuff, Toyohime) but it's nice to hear it even from a Lunarian's mouth.
edit: edited to fix spoiler tags, sorry about that guys

As far as Junko's personality, it's pretty interesting that a being of pure grudge is so unconcerned about her grudge not coming to fruition. Well, we know that she may not even remember or care about the reason behind her grudge. I sort of wonder if she might be kind of like — the point isn't even actually realizing her revenge, it's just stewing infinitely on the grudge itself. Sort of like how you just hate something but never do anything to change it even though you could. Instead you just stay hating it.
...Is anyone else having problems getting the patcher to recognize TH15?

I was assuming they needed to update it or something. Is it supposed to be able to recognize it?
Okay, so in my quest for Sagume's face, I accidentally ended up extracting everything from th15.dat (including ending text and whatnot, which theoretically could have made my life easier). Anyway, I found this, which is Sagume's in-battle sprite set. But... what's she doing in the bottom row there? There's a pink afterimage, like a slash or something, and her arm seems to be moving. Obviously I would never notice this in-game because bullets everywhere.
Disclaimer: I have literally never looked at this sort of thing before, so maybe this is common for Touhou sprites?

Hm, the animation is kind of odd, but I'm pretty certain that's supposed to be a wing that she has, not a cape as I've seen suggested
And, yeah, looks like she's creating Sword Lines with her right hand
Junko seems to really have to huge grudge against the Lunarians for some for reason that she doesn't remember. You know who also has a grudge agians the Lunarians? Bocaj!
"Analay, an original fan character from a 2006 non canon comic. Do not steal!"But I remember why I do.
Anyway, Miko and Tojiko being 2 cool 4 school.
and also turbo grannies.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersTherefore Junko = Bocaj? Konegasa has been lying to us this whole time!
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Thinking about it, Junko is sort of similar to Mokou: They do what they do not out of what caused them to bear their grudge, but because what they are going to do otherwise? I think her profile makes it seem that she went "And Then What?" at one point and is glad that the Lunarians outsmarted her.
One thing I like about Junko is that even though hatred is what drives her, she is a Perpetual Smiler. Like she is so angry that it loops into Tranquil Fury.
That's her secret, you see. She's always angry.
I wonder how she'd get along with Tojiko, or if they'd ever have occasion to even meet.
Hecatia and that other person.
