Chachamaru is no medical droid, though. She goes from maid to waitress to fighter to hacker to secretary to nanny, but she's never shown in an official medical capacity.

So I just got my new omnibus, and flipped to a random page. I just noticed in the Chao!Wins timeline, Takamichi not only cornered her, but destroyed her Cassiopeia in the process. I know he still managed to fight Chao without being stomped into the dust in the normal timeline, but that's some new found respect right there.

Huh? I don't remember that! Granted I only have the old volumes. Can you give me the before and after pages, so I can look for it?

Volume 16, page 34. I never noticed it in the scanlations, but you can see smoke coming off of Chao's battle suit where the Cassiopeia should be. Given that it was Mana that had to finish Takamichi off, and not Chao herself like she did in the actual timeline, it seems to me like it was kapoot.

(Finally got back, home, looks at volume) ooh, you're right! And Satsuki sold her out, it seems.

... Satsuki?! Not that I'm not grateful that she made that choice considering the consequences of Chao's victory, but why???

BTW, is it just me, or does Satsuki look less plump in her official Pactio Card◊ than she's usually depicted?

Yeah... it kinda looks like it. Her eyes look off too. She looks like a repurposed Chao.

In fairness, if she ever got a Pactio, it must have happened after the end of Negima. She might have slimmed down by the time she did it.

Either that, or she looks slimmer because the clothes are more formfitting, the pose is different or because the artist goofed.

Also important: She doesn't look like a repurposed Chao. Chao's made of sticks.

Part outfit, part Akamatsu's art style changing over the course of the series. Her's was one of the later pactio cards released IIRC. She looks a bit bigger in the epilogue, though it could be partially due to the outfit she's wearing there, and a unflattering angle making her face look...odd. Her face still isn't as big as it was in the start of the series though.
