Bring out your dead! DING!
So, anyone planning to participate in Nanowrimo this year?
Not this one. Too many distractions, of both the wanted and unwanted sort.
I might, just like I might every year. If I can get an idea worked out before November starts, I might give it a knock.
Wouldn't it be Nerves of Gundamium?

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariParticipating, and I even have a story idea lined up!
...It needs a lot more than 50,000 words. I'll be ignoring that until November 30.
PM box is always open.@IANCE: Nope. In Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, the Gundams are called that because they're made of a special alloy called Gundanium, the production/usage of which IIRC involves microgravity.
Huh. Wouldn't they be Gundans, then?
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariReally not a good time for me to participate.
They're called Gundam because that was what the original mobile suit was called way back in 1979. Anything other reason is just an excuse to come up with that name.
I am not going to officially take part in Na No Wri Mo, but I have an idea that might well take 50,000 words.
Friend of mine found an interesting anime called Freezing. Watched the whole thing through in 2 days, then I started Doing The Reserch.
Heh heh heh.
Suffice it to say that I am toying with the idea of writing something called Freezing, with Negima Caracters as soon as I figure out how many lame jokes, puns, and Shout Outs I need to add.
Madman with a box? I'm a madman with a semi, a pretzel bender and a Heart of Gold!Oh, that one. Yeah, it's quite the show, apparently.
Wow, that one chick in the page image even looks like Asuna.
I vaguely remember starting to try and watch that.
Couldn't really get into it, though.
There's another who looks like Chizuru, as well. Although since we can't see her breasts in that image...
It's kinda sad 50% of Chizuru is characterized by her breasts.
And the rest by her leek habit. >.>
If you're talking about the girl with the closed eyes like Kaede, then that is Chiffon Fairchild. She has her own trope in the Freezing page. Not going to mention it here for spoilers.

Madman with a box? I'm a madman with a semi, a pretzel bender and a Heart of Gold![reads description of Freezing] well... at least it isn't the usual hack 'boy gains ability to do something magical only women are supposed to be able to do with absolutely no explanation' plot. Infinite Stratos is nice, but mostly only for the non-Ichika battles and Charlotte... hmm, Charlotte...
Thinking of joining Nanowrimo. Been putting together the elements for a whole new story and everything...
Haven't actually seen IS, but do they ever give a reason why the IS works with the main character when they're supposed to only work with women? Or, conversely, why they don't work with other guys?

I don't know about the novels, but in the anime (which has a different ending), they don't say, but it's implied that the creator had a thing for the main character's older sister and based the technology around her and that because she's an insane troll, she decided to make it only work for women except for the brother of the girl she based the technology on. Basically.
Had the random thought of Akira being Kouta's older sister. Decided not to develop it, since there's really nowhere for the plot to go but Stations of the Canon, even IF we suppose that Yggdrassil is helping withthe blue mars plan and that they're helping because they want people to run off to Mars so they don't get caught be Helheim...
Really, Magey? You couldn't think of anything to wonk up the canon using the premise of Negima and Gaim sharing the same universe? I am disappoint.
If Yggdrasil is helping with Blue Mars, that means Takatora has access to Negi. Who, depending on context and continuity, could have Nodoka access. Now then. Suppose that Nodoka has some reason to mindread Yoko, Ryouma, and/or Sid, finding them suspicious. Or perhaps DJ Sagara tipped her off, or something. I'm still only halfway through the show, haven't learned what his deal is yet.
That means that she and Negi can flat-out tell Takatora he's surrounded himself with psychotic Social Darwinist wanna-bes who don't give the slightest damn about his goal of saving as many human lives as possible even if "as many as possible" is still only "one in seven". ... Heck, if Yggdrasil is part of the Blue Mars partnership, then by way of the Yukihiro and Naba conglomerates, Takatora might be able to step up mass-production of the Sengoku driver and save more than just 1/7 of the human population. Maybe even get up to 2/7.
Furthermore, if Negi finds out about Helheim, I imagine he'd look into the matter himself. And if he finds out about the Overlords, it's just a matter of time before he tries to contact them and get their aid in saving Earth, possibly via the Super Saiyan Electric Fairy method of persuasion.
YMMV on feasibility or even quality of the ideas I just tossed out, but still.
All those methods mean Kouta becomes irrelevant as a protagonist dude. You know I don't work like that.
Speaking about Overlords, I sure hope Negi doesn't Overkill, if you know what I mean...
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOoh, hadn't thought of that! All right! Guilt-free Negi and Nanoha versus Helheim!
The World God Only Knows returns, sort of!
