I use all the dirt i can find in the cave to put out the fire. I roll around in it, put it on major burning parts of my body. Or, should i find anything else close by that'll halp me, i'll use that too.

Of course, i hold my distance to the fire and other fire pots they keep leaving around. Stupid rats.

Turn 42

First time posts for this session require you to state a race and class of a Dnd/Fantasy RPG variety. This is an RTD with some continuity and I want to make sure you don't show up with space-themed stuff when that doesn't fit with the general theme. I also recommend reading through my previous posts to get a sense of how I run things and some of the things you don't want to do. You'll also get a sense of the stuff that's going on by doing so.

Everyone: Hello peoples. I’m going to be moving back to college in a few days and as such I won’t have much access to my computer along with the program/file I use to make notes/write everything for the campaign. The soonest I would be able to post the next entry would be around Saturday or Sunday, and that’s assuming I don’t slack off and I get internet right away. Furthermore, since I’m going back to school, my posts are not going to be as frequent as usual due to a combination of homework, project stuff, labs, and doing other activities IRL. I haven’t given up on this session yet, so do be patient if I don’t post stuff for a week or something. I’m fairly active on the site, so I’ll probably say something if I wish to resign. However, if I don’t make a post for a few weeks, feel free to discuss the possibility of changing the GM, though I would like for someone to notify me via PM so I can discern whether that person would be a good replacement. I don’t want to have another incident where the thread remains dormant for several months without any posting. Nevertheless, I do intend to keep this session alive for as long as possible, at least until some sort of major plotstuff happens.


Rivux: (6) You ask Yukari what she means about “Flying sword schmucks” and the black ring. Her eyes twitch for a moment. Before you can react, she dashes towards you, clamps onto your right arm, pulls out her sword and slices your left hand off. Her blade now reaches towards your neck. She says, "Oh? So you haven’t seen anythin’ around? Well let me clarify a few things for ya. I’ve been places and there aren’t many things that can fly without the help of magic. And magic types would rather throw fireballs and shit before using a sword. And when I say sword schmucks, I mean goons with two swords strapped to their side, a mail-plate suit lookin’ like it came from another planet, and a crossbow on their back. Nobody knows how to make crossbows in these parts ‘cept for some of them dwarf fellas. That’s your boat right? I reckon you came from Nivani. If that’s so, wearin’ that ring would have attracted that bitch’s goons like fucking honey. You go strollin’ ‘round that land at night, you’d be dead by sunrise. Thing is you ain’t dead. Since you’re pretendin’ to have no idea what I’m talkin’ about, I’d say you’re working for her as well. You got any good explanation for that? Cause your boss ain’t comin’ to save you."
BRaHiAn1: (5) Sturm responds, "Huh. Well looks like we’ve got shit for luck. What do you know? I go out to get everything back before everyone starves and everyone gets killed while I’m gone. Guess this is my fault for my rash judgment. Still, since when are the shade clans organized enough to mount an offensive into the kingdom? And since when do they have people capable of that kind of magic on their side? Now, you’ve got some sort of healing spells right? They might have gotten a few wounds in during that fight. Or if you could do something about my sight, that would be great." Seeing as there’s no one else left and you have nothing better to do, you cast a healing spell on Sturm. A white mist connects from your hands to him, and you start to see some of his wounds heal up. Shortly after, he blinks and begins looking around the area. "Someone sure has a sick sense of humor. Well, I could have wandered around blind for the rest of my life, but I guess I oughta thank you for that. Now that I can see, we can head back over to the supplies and snag what we can. I say we head over to Keran and finish our task, but if you got any better ideas, I’m willing to hear them." At around this moment, his eyes seem to have found the corpse that had been lying next to you. His eyes widen for a moment. "Unicorns."
TheSpacePhantom: (2) You try not to panic from all the chaos around you. Instead, you piss in your pants. As you see more people dying in horrific fashion, you wave your arms in the air, run around and scream along with the rest of the migrants.    "KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"   

In the distance, you see the priestess of Tgan wander out. Despite the constant laughter from the unseen woman and your distance from the priestess, you hear her say, "What in Shoshanna’s name is… Aw hell no!"


Lord Herobrine: (5) Seeing as the wolves have gone, you descend from the trees and begin hiking northward along the range. Although you see smoke occasionally rising from various places, you simply head past them, as they don’t seem to be particularly notable. Along the way, you find a stray bronze axe on the ground. Seeing as there’s no village nearby, you pick it up for yourself. Eventually, the sun begins to set. At your current position, you see three mountains ahead, one straight and one towards each side. You can no longer see any signs of the coast or the sea. In the mountain ahead, you see a large cave. You also see light coming from high up on the mountain to your left.
Rhyme and Treason: (4) You revert back to your hybrid form and then surrender. After your offer, the rider dismounts from the unicorn. For a moment, the beast seems to drop its jovial, smiling demeanor as its pupils bear down on you with laser-like intensity. The hoof pinning you in place shakes momentarily until something underneath it attaches it. The unicorn launches you into the ground to your left, and the connection from your chest to the hoof rips apart. It trots off with nothing but a simple grumble. The rider says, "Now then, why don’t you hand over that nice axe of yours, as well as anything else of value? Though, you could be of use to us. We don’t get many fliers in these parts, aside from our unicorn friend of course. What do you say?"
Trip: (3) You begin to descend down the steps. As you go down, you start to see small holes in the wall emitting some sort of octarine light. Some parts of the wall have been cut out in an archway that curves at the end of the hole. In these spots, you see stone statues depicting a human woman with bangs covering her forehead and her hair fashioned in a ponytail. Her hands rest on her hips with her elbows fanning outward. The statue bears an open, confident smile. Additionally, the figure appears to be wearing some sort of schoolgirl’s outfit. You spend about twenty minutes traveling down the stairs, after which your legs become sore. As you sit down to rest, you look down to see how much farther you have to go. There’s still quite some height to go, but you can see the bottom. On the end opposite you, you see a large entryway with two large statues of unicorns bordering it.
Kayne: (4) There are no more functioning firepots left in the area. First, you roll around on the ground, careful to avoid the area engulfed in flames. You manage to extinguish the flames off yourself. Then, you begin gathering around whatever rubble you can find and throw it into the flames in front of you. Far ahead, the fire lining the sides seems to have subsided. Despite your best efforts, the flame is way too large to completely extinguish, but you cleared enough for you to exit the place. Now that you have time to relax without worrying about being on fire, you now notice that there is a downward set of stairs, which turns on a bend, deeper into the cave.
Philosopher: (4) Heeding the guard’s advice, you turn around and head in the other direction. As usual, Marisa teleports you along the way. After some time, you see lights from up ahead. After another hop, you see a huge rectangular structure up ahead with an illuminated stairway leading up to it. Just ahead of you, you see a large wooden palisade along with a ditch. You also see a few huts along with gardens some distance from the outer palisade. Further into the city, before what you presume to be the palace, you see a massive stone wall equipped with towers with unusually large openings and a single twin gatehouse structure. Nearby, you see many wooden shacks along with a few guards roaming about. Past the palisade, you see many wooden and stone shacks clustered next to each other in a grid-like fashion. As you approach the outer palisade, you see two spear-wielding guards. They also seem to be wielding bows on their backs and wear scale armor along with cylindrical, bronze helmets. Both of them seem to be looking at you but they stay near their positions.

I try my best not to lose it from the shock of hand loss and explain to her I really don't have a clue what she's going on about, and that I was sent adrift in the middle of the night. Bound, I add. I also add in that I don't know who the hell she's talking about since the only ladies that come to mind is a psychotic, merciless, and heavily armored bitch that hits like an elephant.

Lord Herobrine: Harkad is the Kobold Empire. You would have seen kobolds and you would have heard other NPCs refer to it as such if you were in that place. Other players have been in Harkad, but you have never been there. I won't explicitly say where you are, but based on the information the NPCs have revealed, you should be able to determine which region you are in on the map.

No1mustevarno: No, though I haven't played enough DF to know whether the fort he's seeing is similar enough. He has been to an expy of Boatmurdered sometime earlier in the session.

Turn 43

Rivux: (5) You try explaining yourself to Yukari, and remain calm despite your injuries. She pulls back her sword slightly and then says, "Eh? Someone who hits like an elephant? What did she look like and was she flying at the time?" You mention that the one you encountered earlier was flying without wings and you also try to describe this person to the best of your abilities. "So, looks like you have encountered one of that bitch’s goons. You should have mentioned that earlier or else I wouldn’t have needed to cut off your hand. Yeah, you’re fuckin’ clueless. Right." She picks your hand off the ground, pulls the ring off it, and then places it back in its place. You see a stream of white mist connect from her sword to your wrist, and your hand reattaches itself. "I dunno how you managed to escape one of them vampires without dying. Beatrice’s goons aren’t the kind to leave your types alive, especially if you were wanderin’ off in Nivani for whatever reason. From the looks of things, they captured you and then shipped you off to here. I dunno why they shipped you off in a boat instead of just locking you in a cell. You must be important or somethin’. I guess I could use you. So, you can either walk away and pretend this never happened or you can work for me. What do you say?"
BRaHiAn1: (4) You swear vengeance on all unicorn and shadekind. Sturm says, “Looks like that goes for both of us.” You then mention that you wish to head for Keran. “Alright, just stay here for a moment.” Sturm runs off back in the direction he came. After a few minutes, he comes back with a sack strapped alongside his sword. "Just follow me." You follow Sturm, and after several more minutes, you find yourself back on the main road.

You spend somewhere between three to four hours crossing expansive flatlands, and you begin to see several caravans join up along the road. At around this point, you see the silhouette of a massive, pyramid-like building reaching up into the sky. After an additional thirty minutes of walking, you can see the structure more clearly along with a sprawling city around it. Around two-thirds down the top of the structure, the slope turns into a vertical drop. Although most of the building is sloped, you see the roof flatten out at the top and two times along the sides. You see around four chutes running down along the sloping faces of the building. A multitude of buttresses inlaid with various engravings forms along the wall face. However, you also see a stairway extending from the center of the base wall out into the vast city surrounding it. The stairs themselves seem to be much lower than the surrounding masonry. Two rectangular, gatehouse-like structures form near the top of the stairway, which stops midway into the large structure.

This temple/palace structure stands in the middle of a fairly large district raised high above the rest of the city. The central district is surrounded by a set of stone walls concealing most of the other structures. The rest of the city is surrounded by a second set of stone walls, though some of the houses seem to bleed into the rest of the landscape. The houses are packed tightly together, though there are a few spaces for streets, alleyways, and marketplaces. Additionally, you see a large river running in a northwesterly direction alongside one of the walls. Slightly above the river’s surface, you see several round tunnels pouring out sludge and waste. You see a few boats with goods packed in various containers as well. The right end of the city seems to be emitting smoke. Far towards your left, you see a pair of towers rising near the height of the temple/palace structure. Another one stands toward your right. The road you’re one curves toward the right and crosses a bridge to form up with another road connecting into the city. Said road is packed with humans moving in and out and wading through the crowd looks like it will be a difficult task. As you watch them, you can’t help but notice that several large spiders have perched themselves on some of the wagons and several peoples’ backs. Along the top of the outer wall, you see many dark-green banners with a blue spider in the center with white writing that says, "Keran" on its back. The legs of this spider bend at roughly 120 degree angles. Said legs form into pairs which bend outward while pointing in the up, down, left, and right directions of the banner.

Sturm remarks, "Well, looks like we’re here."


Rhyme and Treason: (3) Seeing as the unicorn is no longer pinning you down, you take your chance and begin to run. The leader/rider says, "Get back here you piece of shit! After him you fools!" As you run toward one of the hills, you see the other three archers appear from behind it. About midway, they fire at you. Two of the arrows miss, but one of them hits your left shoulder. Additionally, the the unicorn suddenly appears floating behind the archers, even though you saw it go in the opposite direction when you last checked.

It says, "You’re running away? How splendid! I can’t wait to rub my hooves in your face once again!    KYAHAHAHAHA!!!"   


Trip: (4) Pushing aside your concerns, you continue descending down the stairwell and reach the bottom, and the two unicorn statues stand before you. As there don’t seem to be any more pathways, you walk through the large rectangular entryway. Once through, you find yourself in a large, rectangular, brick chamber. A column stands at each corner of the room. Each one is inlaid with sculptures of fleshless corpses tattered, torn, and perforated. Each one seems to be reaching out to the center of the room as if desperate for some sort of salvation. The chamber opens up into a hallway on the left and right walls. The wall ahead of you is illuminated by two octarine torches near the sides.

A massive circular diagram consisting of various hexagonal gemstones covers most of the wall. In total, there seems to be nine gemstone nodes surrounding one golden gemstone in the center. All of the outer gemstones seem to be linked to some sort of symbol which is placed further out from the golden center. Although the golden piece does not have an associated symbol, it seems to be held in place by two golden unicorns. The topmost gemstone is completely black, though there seems to be a minor degree of transparency. The symbol next to this gem comprises of a pair of concentric rings resembling a portal with an ankh residing in the center. Going clockwise, you see a green gem beside an engraving of a hand with a snake coiled around the wrist. The next gem has an orange tint and sits besides a symbol of a pentagonal shield with a sword’s handle sticking from the top. Following that, you see a gem with a red glow sitting by a flame symbol. The gem on the bottom right has a purplish tint and its associated symbol comprises of a gear with a lightning bold in its center. The bottom left gem, glowing a bright white, is accompanied by a curving, four-pointed star with a circle reaching halfway between the points. The following gem is completely transparent, and is accompanied by an engraving of a fortified tower. The leftmost gem glows pink. Its symbol consists of eight arrows pointing away from the center. The last gem has a blue tint and accompanies an eye symbol.


TheSpacePhantom: (1) You try running but you trip and fall over almost immediately.    "KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"    You try pulling yourself up, but your arms are shaking too much. You feel a hand pull your face upward. You see a blonde-haired human woman wearing a green schoolgirl’s uniform. Aside from the lack of elf ears, she bears an uncanny resemblance to the statue from before. "You’re afraid of someone with such a cute face as this? You can’t run from me, Spacey, my eyes are everywhere. Though, if you’re in need of some services, I’m sure we can make some arrangements once you come back. But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to take good care of your body while you’re gone.    KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"    As the woman continues laughing at you, your heart races. You cannot do anything but listen to her hideous laughter and look at that demented smile on her face for what seems like an eternity.    You died.    Respawn?
Lord Herobrine: (1) You begin walking toward the light towards your left. Once you reach the base of the mountain, you lose your footing and fall into a hole. You slam against the ground far below. You find yourself in the middle of a tunnel illuminated only by the moonlight above. Climbing back out looks like it might be a tad difficult.
Kayne: (3) Seeing as you need to rest from your fight, you begin to walk around the fire and make your way to the entrance of the cave, using your remaining arm to support your footless legs. After moving around the shade corpses, you step out of the cave and sit down, taking a moment to look around you. You don’t know how long it will take you to heal nor whether you can heal back your lost limbs by simply resting. At the same time, the sun has begun to set.
No1mustevarno: (5) The closest signs of civilization seem to be the lights up ahead, so you start crawling in that direction. As you would waste time by turning around, you don’t bother to check if the trolls are behind you, but you don’t seem to hear anything behind you. After several minutes, you see several glowing white orbs attached to long, silver spires holding some massive stone platform hovering just above the forest. Shortly after, you see a laguz come by with a glowing spark circling around him. After looking over your body, the laguz picks you up and starts lifting you up until you can see several round houses of wood sitting upon the platform.

Many of the structures bear spiraling designs and rest upon thin, stone columns. The center portion of the disk rises above the rest and you see several wooden posts similar to the one you found near the coast. The laguz takes you into one of the larger buildings and then sets you down on the ground. You see about three more of them nearby. One of them wears a purple cloak surrounding her body and a seashell necklace. She holds an intricate wooden staff carved with various birds and fish. The one who brought you says, "I found this one while on patrol. This one has lost his ability to walk." The leader simply nods and then waves her staff, causing a flow of white mist to connect from it to you. After about a minute, you once again can feel your legs and can move them.

She says, "Just where are you from? What brings you to these lands?"


Philosopher: (1) You approach the guards to ask them to take you to the Rajah. You hear Marisa yawning. Just about midway, you trip over something and fall to the ground. You feel something wrapping itself around your legs. At the same time, you see roots wrapping around your tiger, but Marisa doesn’t seem to have noticed, as she can barely keep her eyes open. The guards ahead rush toward you and you see about five of the other guards in the area run towards your position. One of the orcs ahead says, "Put your hands in the air and do not attempt to resist. You are to be taken in for questioning."
NE Sgamer 190: (2) You begin to approach the distant structure and start navigating your way around the mountain you’re on. A couple of feet down, you lose your footing and begin rolling down the slope. Eventually, you reach some flat portion, but you’ve scraped yourself everywhere your armor doesn’t cover. You get back up, but you feel sore everywhere and you have a headache from colliding with the ground so many times.

I'm not sure how ready I am to trust a lady who seems ready to castrate me if she deemed necessary... But she did pull that damn ring off. I'm not in servitude to the army anymore the way I see it.
