New DLC just dropped. The rare Yggdrasil Sprout quest, a fight against a giant talking chicken, and a new ice monster boss.
You mean the second Yggdrasil Sprout quest. The first one gets you the ingredients and a recipe that increases material drops from both combat and gather points, this one gives you a recipe that increase Grimore Chances. Both last only one trip to the dungeon, like the food boosts in EOU (and unlike every other food boost in EO 2 U).
There's what looks like one or two weeks of DLC left; we have the Thunder Queen boss, rematches with the 7 Kings from EOU, a fight with the boss Tindalos, the final Yggdrasil Sprout quest (this one for EXP), and finally...
"The Original Sin". "Challenge the hardest difficulty dungeon and face the deepest, darkest boss..." Sounds suitably ominous.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownThere are two weeks of DLC left. Next week is the EXP grinding DLC (the final Yggdrasil sprout quest) and the battles against the Thunder Queen and Tindalos. Final week is the Etrian Odyssey Untold "King Grimoire" bosses and the 31st floor boss (I think its Japanese name translates to "The Original Demon God" or "The First Devil").
From what I've read on /vg/, Scylla tends to be a major sticking point for people, with parties getting Lullabied or leg bound and then being wiped by Cry Soul. I personally found Artelinde and Wilhelm to be harder, partly because I was stupid and didn't put any points into Prevent Order and partly because I wasn't expecting them to pull a Taking You with Me.
The Third Stratum in general seems to be That One Level for people I guess.
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realI just recently beat the Gentle Toad DLC boss. Definitely a Breather Boss compared to the likes of the Flame Demon and Arachne.
One thing I really like about The Fafnir Knight is how it adds new things to keep old players on their toes. The Flame Demon's cube mechanic definitely made the fight more difficult compared to her original fight in Heroes of Lagaard.
Speaking of new things, I heard that the infamous Muckdile on Floor 30 got buffed up, meaning it uses Frolic when it has just one bind, as opposed to the original using the move when it is completely bound. Is it true?
The first one is "Yggdrasil Bud".
Yes. Dinogator has a new move now, too.

So I finally made it to the Overlord on Story mode; does anybody who's made it there have any advice? What level should I be? (my team is around level 60 or so).
I tried fighting him once but I just flat-out ran out of TP when he had roughly half of his HP left and then I got wiped by one of his core's attacks plus two Chase Lasers.
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realAll right. That's it. I am sick to god of these thrice-cussed conditional drops and how they DON'T ALWAYS drop.
I'm going to duplicate a bunch of Formaldehydes. It won't be perfect since the King Grimoires will remain frustrating, but it's going to make ME feel a whole lot better.

That's the level I beat him on. What difficulty are you running? On Standard, I made liberal usage of the walls and also kept up Front Guard, Artery, and War Heal to ensure I stayed healthy.
I'm playing The Millennium Girl right now, and I'm liking it. It's fun creating your own map, though figuring out what symbols should be used for what can be a pain occasionally. I'm nearing the end of the second Stratum, and I've got a pretty good handle on the mechanics right now. It's a bit easy (probably due to the grinding I did when exploring every nook and crany), but it's not that big a deal.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. You playing on classic mode? Because Coeurl is anything but easy, and he's story exclusive.
I'm playing on story mode. Is there a major Difficulty Spike around then?
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Fenrir and Coeurl are infamous noob bridges. Fenrir is better than he was in the original, but Coeurl is probably worse than he ever was.
Also, difficulty setting plays a huge difference. If you're not playing on expert... good! That's the original difficulty setting, and it's for the real masochists in the audience.

I'm on Standard, which has made me sweat a few times, but nothing I haven't been able to handle thus far.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Ah yeah, that'll do it.
Try expert when/if you play classic. It's a whole different experience.
To some degree, some of the map emblems are used purely for personal choice.
Etrian Odyssey 4 had no treasure chest icon, for instance, so I used that Four-Leaf Clover mark to signify them. Now I have no idea what to use that mark for in the Untold games.
I used four leaf clover for treasure chests until Untold.
In other news: I GOT ME A KING GRIMOIRE! And since Wolf Pack apparently has priority, Raquna is now my best buffer.
The clover icon is the treasure icon. The reason is that the chests in the original game had clover decorations on them. In later games, the chests were redesigned, but the icon remained the same.
So I just got to the end of Fafnir Knight's story and now my day is ruined.
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realThe third stratum in TMG sure is pretty. A nice break from all that green of the first two stratums.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. Why? He's still alive, as Arianna explains in the post-credits scene. It's implied that he's just in Armoroad somehow.
Speaking of the second Untold, I missed some dialogue for a recipe. If you haven't done the recipes for Western Food 5 yet, I need a few dialogue lines from Ominous Aspic. Please help; I'd be very appreciative.
The Azure Woodlands was the point where EO went from something I was surviving to something I love. It's the dividing line between when you're level/resource starved and level/resource rich even in Untold.
Have you tried listening to the original soundtrack? So far I prefer the originals to the remixed tunes. The prompt to switch is on the options menu (Y+Y+left).
Yeah, but considering who may or may not have found him...◊
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realMaybe Deep City will manufacture some Classic Mode Fafnirs.
Welp, I've finished the story of The Fafnir Knight. The story is great and the final battle kicks ass. Definitely a vast improvement compared to the original Untold.
