It's a Gundam thread!

Personally, I find pretty much all that stuff to be pretty darn awesome, and a nice way of visually distinguishing the Crossbone Vanguard and Zanscare Empire from being just yet another Zeon remnant.

And yes, the first episode of Unicorn was extremely awesome. Absolutely no complaints, and it looks like this will become my favorite of the UC OV As.

Well, I've only really seen the One Year War stuff. I guess I shouldn't really judge what looks Gundamish and what doesn't with my feeble Gundam knowledge.

My torrent of 0083 is almost done! If I'm lucky, I might be able to start watching it tonight.

Edit: Torrent is done, but it's too late to start watching now. Oh well, tomorrow then.

Not really ugly, but pretty ridiculous looking nonetheless is the Adrastea from Victory. Where they got the idea for a motorcycle battleship is something that would be interesting to know.

Victory seems... far too silly to live up to it's status as one of the most depressing UC series...

The commandos only wear bikinis to distract their opponents.

Which really doesn't make it a good idea. Especially when you consider just how badly they had their highly visible asses handed to them.

True, but wasn't it prepubescent boy, and weren't they fighting a Humongous Mecha that can squish tanks? I seriously doubt there's any armor they could wear that would be effective. Some sort of active camo might be though...

Why not, y'know, actually use mobile suits? Or tactics that don't involve running out in front of a large mecha that hardly needs to flick its wrist to snap their spines? Like firing from cover and keeping on the move?

Seeing girls in bikinis shot and/or vaporized is not my idea of Fanservice.

Only one is vaporized. The rest are gently smacked around (but still die since it's a massive mech...).

It just bugs me, was the Bright Slap to Amuro and Bright respectively necessary? I heard that Bright kind of pushed Amuro way past his breaking point nd had a breakdown.

Bright was kind of an asshole early in the Mobile Suit Gundam.

Heh. I can't help but notice the movie that Kou has tickets for in episode 7 of 0083 is called "Shinning Blue Fire".

I'm finished 0083 now! I will start Zeta...probably tomorrow.

I finally started Zeta. The first episode was pretty good.

I seem to be the only one posting in here, though.

At the moment, yes. I'm going to start Char's Counterattack one of these days.

Watching the second episode, I was thinking that this seemed way too similar to the beginning of 0079...until Kamille ran off with Char and his guys. That's certainly different.
