In episode 41, he's anxious about piloting the Zeong because he doesn't know whether he's a Newtype or not. Apparently, not even Lalah knew it. .___.
That's...weird. I definitely don't remember that being in the movie. It sounds like it's more "oh God, what if I was wrong the whole time" than actually not know though.
I guess it is.Char's Newtype abilities are rather wimpish. Especially when compared to Amuro and Lalah. Also, I believe he was never specifically tested by the Flannigan Institute, that was the case in the novel at least. I don't remember if was ever brought up in the series proper.
Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listJust finished the series. For all the cheese, it was really good, especially considering how dated it is. Now I just have to find the time to get through Zeta Gundam...
And yeah, he doesn't seem to have known. He was trying to destroy Amuro because he was a Newtype.

Huh. Maybe they really did change that in the movies.
I guess it is....I love how G-Savior is supposed to take place almost seventy years after Victory Gundam and twenty years after Gaia Gear (if it didn't completely ignore it), but technologically appears to take place before Mobile Suit Gundam...

I guess it is.Point.
Still. It makes me curious as to how Bandai could have thought that Gundam fans would take any interest in it. They should know how Gundam fans tend to be, especially UC Gundam fans.
The CGI really doesn't help its case...

Gaia Gear is officially non-canon anyway. And while G-Saviour is not explicitly non-canon itself, Bandai seems to have been trying to quietly sweep it under the rug for years.
I know it's Gundam, but why is it when the main character is a school student, one or more of his friends will be horribly killed in the first part? (especially UC)

Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listAs I recall, Tomino once stated that he vents his homicidal tendencies in his animation.
Watched the first episode of Gundam Unicorn.
UC is back and I love it.
inorite? Although, it's kind of weird how the second episode hasn't even been released and already our page on it is spoilering it like crazy. Guess there must've quite a few people who read the light novels, then...
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!Glad I resisted reading the spoilers...
I loved that last scene, though. That's a pretty good way to show off what the Gundam Unicorn can do...
Is Unicorn only on Blu-Ray? Amazon doesn't seem to have the DVD.
The show just started...
Anyway, now that I'm done with that other show, I will be going back to my Gundam binge. I plan to watch 0083 soon, but I'm currently retorrenting a version without ordered chapters so it'll probably be a few days before I can actually watch it.
I guess it is.@Arsidias: Yep. Only on Blu-Ray right now.
Oh right, it's an OVA.
I guess it is....Debating whether to pick up the Gundam Unicorn Super HCM figure or not...
If they had a figure of Kshatriya, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat, but...
Edit: Gaaah. It's so bloody expensive, but I WAAAANT! it. And it'd give me an excuse to pick up that lovely soundtrack as well...

Maybe it's just that picture, but that looks...un-Gundamish.
I guess it is.Hmm. Seems fairly typical of the later Neo-Zeon mobile suits. It's essentially an upgrade of the Queen Mansa.
Certainly more 'Gundam-y' than some of the things from Victory and F91 Gundam.

I'm pretty sure that's not true, unless for some reason that was changed in the movies.
I guess it is.
