YES.
Gundam Build Fighter Try, was a massive let-down compared to GBF.

You gotta start somewhere.Oh I almost forgot to tell Something Really interesting,
In 1992 a guy Named Yuichi Hasegawa created a 1-Volume Manga Called Mobile Suit Vs Giant God Of Legend: Gigantis' Counterattack in Wich the Remnants of Neo Zeon encounter a Mysterious Mobile Suit Called Gigantis ¡Wich is Revealed is actually none other than Ideon Itself! and for whatever Reason in this Story Judau happens to be the Reincarnation of Cosmo Yuki the Main Protagonist of Ideon

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.That reminds me of a discussion regarding Build Fighters earlier in this thread and Ideon Gunpla.
Nous restons ici.I actually tried reading that, but what I found wasn't scanlated.
Some of the pictures were still epic, though. Ideon grabbed a Big Zam by the leg and used it as a bludgeon against the little Mobile Suits surrounding it.
¿A Ideon Gunpla? that Reminds me of another thing i Imagined,
a hypothetical Build Fighters Sequel with Figures from not only Gundam but also from Other Mecha Series created by Sunrise, a Super Gunpla Wars as i would Call it
¡That sounds really Awesome!

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Judau is the reincarnation of Cosmo? And gets roped into exterminating humanity on behalf of an insane Eldritch Abomination again? Jesus, Gundam, let the poor kid have his happy ending.
What's precedent ever done for us?Well as far as i Know that Manga is Non-Canon.
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Didn't you get the memo? All manga are "unofficial". That's part of why so many people are pissed about Crossbone not getting an anime.
¿Wait What? Wait a moment (.......) Oh Sunrise and its Strange policy of 'Manga-Non Canon' i Happily accept most Side-Story Manga, Novel, Or whatever...
Unless is something Ridiculously Depressing like Gundam Hathaway's Flash.

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.So, I learned something new today. Remember Angelo Sauper from Gundam Unicorn, Full Frontal's chief minion and head worshiper? They don't really go into it in the OVA, but apparently in the light novel, his backstory is that his father was murdered by Federation soldiers and his mother was raped half to death by same. They were taken in by a friend of his father's, but he molested both Angelo and his mother. His mother eventually committed suicide, at which point Angelo is kicked out onto the streets and forced to prostitute himself to survive. The reason he's so blindly loyal to Full Frontal is because he's the one who found Angelo and got him out of that situation. In the novel, Banagher learns all of this during a newtype flash, at which point Angelo promptly commits suicide out of shame.
Holy mother of god, grimdark much? I mean, why have one character whose backstory is "forced to be a child prostitute" when you can have two? With a dash of "life ruined by Federation soldiers" like Zinnerman for good measure (never mind that that's canonically impossible according to basically every other source in the franchise).
Jesus fucking Christ, I hate Unicorn.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. While I didn't know Angelo's backstory in such detail, I did know he was sexually abused. So this isn't too surprising to me.
Then again, Unicorn is hardly alone in this kind of story development. Or have you forgotten Lalah Sune?

Lalah was one character across four full-length TV series and two movies, and she was quite well adjusted despite her past. I'm not saying that Rape as Backstory is necessarily an inherently terrible thing. But two characters both independently having the same grimderp backstory in one OVA? I call shenanigans on that.
And that's not even mentioning the horrific abuse of canon that is Zinnerman and Angelo's backstories. Both had their families killed by occupying EFF soldiers while living in Side 3. In no other work is it suggested that Side 3 was ever occupied by the EFF. In MSG, the war ends after the Battle of A Baoa Qu and the Federation never invades Side 3. It's actually a plot point that Side 3 retains its independence post-OYW — in Zeta the Titans bully the Republic of Zeon into helping them fight the AEUG, and in ZZ the Federation tries to buy Haman off by offering her Side 3 (which they didn't really care about because it didn't belong to them anyway).
The whole thing just reeks of lazy writing pushing the "Rape as Backstory" button for cheap emotional punch in lieu of any actual character development plus the blatant Retcon to make the Federation less sympathetic.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Well, it is the novels that you're talking about. The anime toned that shit down for a reason.
but HOW?This came up on another forum I visit, where we were discussing our ideal game that doesn't yet exist.
Someone said "Wargame: The One Year War", playing off Eugen Systems' Wargame series of recent RTS (European Escalation, AirLand Battle, and Red Dragon).
So I thought I'd poll this thread. The next Gundam game is yours. An English release is assured. You can contract anyone you feel like to make it and use any system you want. What's it going to be?
Nous restons ici.In regards to what happened to Side 3 post-One Year War, if you're going to allow Side 3 to have a defense militia with not much on weapons, why not have some EF contingents stay in Side 3 in order to train soldiers? I mean, wasn't that why during the Cold War, US and British troops were stationed in West Germany, and are still stationed in unified Germany to this day?

I'm not sure what I'd do for a Gundam game. Other than Gundam Breaker English Release.
Maybe a full online MMO set around building your own mobile suit and fighting with it or on the ground, but with all suits of all series.
A strategy game, and I'd try to hire the old dev team of Company of Heroes.
As a matter of fact, I want to try my hand at writing a Gundam-themed top-down turn-based strategy game/wargame. I have the programming knowledge to do it and actually started writing the game engine in Java, but I lack graphical resources (ie. icons).
I would try an RTS, but I found out the hard way how resource-intensive Java is when rendering sprites moving around in real time. Granted, that was software rendering.

Speaking of Gundam Videogames i made Some Research about a Sega Saturn Game Called, Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny
in This game the player takes control of a Nameless Federation Soldier (Wich is named Yuu Kajima in Some Adaptations) and he has to Pilot a Strange Blue GM called Blue Destiny Unit 1 (Wich is not really a GM But a Gundam Ground Type with the Head of a GM) and at a Certain moment this Game Did Something i would not see Coming from the UC (Well At that time)
The Blue Destiny Unit 1 Goes Berserk (Red Eyes included) because it... actually has a Soul Sealed in it

All bends to my will." -Demifiend.re:Gundam game: I want a huge-ass action RPG that plays like Metal Gear Rising, but also has multiple storylines and lets you go completely Off the Rails at a couple of key story points.
Original storylines haven't really faired too well for Gundam games. Quite a few disasters like MS Saga.
He decided to screw the rules.
