Grunts? I think having a HG or MG of them have made me fond of the asshimar and zaku II (and by extension the gouf).
Maybe I should get a MG GM 2.0 so I can like it too.
Also, gundam san episode 3, haro man, seems like a nice guy.
@ComicX6:
"Where did this new space-aristocratic faction come from, where did they get their armaments, how are they eventually defeated? Just, incomplete really, that's all I can describe F91 as."
The expanded universe answers some of those: the Ronah clan are the owners of the Buch Concern, a rival MS manufacturer to Anaheim Electronics (they are briefly mentioned in Unicorn as a nod to F91). They've been using their vast fortune to prepare this army in secret for years. Crossbone Gundam also indicates that they were receiving financial and material support from Jupiter.
Cosmo Babylonia is brought down via political infighting, mostly. They do succeed in annexing the Side 4 colonies and founding their own nation, to which the Federation responds by imposing extremely harsh economic sanctions. Cecily uses her status as the heir apparent to the Ronah clan to politically undermine them while Seabook helps spark civil unrest and discontentment among the masses. A few years after F91, Meitzer Ronah dies and in the confusion, the government is deposed and Side 4 is reabsorbed into the Federation.

Huh. Well, someone just made a huge change to the Franchise.Gundam page — they removed the big list of works and descriptions and dumped it on Franchise.Gundam Expanded Universe, and pretty much just left the animated works themselves on the main Gundam page. While the list was huge and made the page a bit unwieldy, I'm not sure I like the solution of just tossing it all on another page where it'll likely be ignored. What does everyone else think?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Hey, I'd be all for changing it back, but I'm not really up to the work doing so would entail. But yeah, dumping them on another page is likely to just get them ignored; keeping it on the main page will at least let them have more exposure.
EDIT: I just checked the History page for the Gundam Franchise, and apparently, whoever edited it goes by 'ashlay'. Anyone ever heard of him/her?

Looking at their edit history, they're a veteran troper and not a troll, nor are they someone with an agenda.
I think the reasons they did the split are valid, but such a major change should probably go through a Discussion first.
Hey going to repost what I said in my PM to kkhohoho:
I apologize for splitting the page without consulting. I felt it would be better to surface the works pages with the majority of written content, which in this case are animated series. Otherwise we have around 20 works pages drowned out by 100+ non-page descriptions. Similar things have been done with comparable series with extensive Extended Universe, like Star Trek, Doctor Who, Star Wars, etc. (Will also add there are quite a lot more "Expanded Universe" gundam works that still aren't covered. Part of the reason I split was because I was starting to make a more complete list of side works, in which case there are going to be up to 200+ entires)
Of course, if the majority does not feel that should be done, then that's fine. Again, I apologize for not consulting.
I do think that splitting the main works and the sidestories is a good idea, but I also think that there should be more than just a bare list of works on the main franchise page. (Of course, that just raises the question of what's a "main" work and what's a "sidestory" work...)
At the very least, the information about the various timelines should be on the main page — that's a pretty key part Gundam, and it's somewhat unique to the franchise as well. I'd also think that the works on the main page deserve at least a one-sentence summary, but that's just me.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. How about have the side stories for a main page of each canon?
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.@Gundam page thing. Ashlay has been doing edits, making pages, and adding tropes to the Gundam Build Fighters series so if he or she thought it was right to move it all I'm inclined to agree. But a big move like that is a little much. We could always PM the guy and ask why he moved it. I don't think the Gundam page was at the threshold for a split yet.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2He already responded in this thread, mega-dark. Post #8383, three above yours.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I feel dumb. That's what I get for scrolling too fast threw the page. Carry on and sorry about that.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2In regards to Victory, why do we claim it was the lowest of what Tomino has done? I mean, didn't he do worse in Space Runaway Ideon or Aura Battler Dunbine?
Not sure whether his bizarre issues with women cropped up quite so much in those two.
What's precedent ever done for us?I was referring to how the Kill Em All trope was applied.
Also, can we resume our PM discussion?

Haven't seen Dunbine, but I have seen Ideon. It wasn't perfect, but it certainly wasn't bad. It's actually some pretty interesting Sci-fi, at least when you get to Be Invoked.
Dunbine has troubles with momentum, and it actually pays off at the end. It does not have a flat black eternity of misogyny and depression running through its second half.
Nous restons ici.Nice! They even worked in the sound effects and stuff pretty well.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. In regards to space colonies, how is agriculture done there? I mean, do they utilize hydroponics, because if not, how do they handle crop rotation?
The only thing about that which could make me happier would be sneaking in a shot of the Gouf Custom.
Most of the UC colonies have enough empty arable land they could probably manage to grow some of their own food. (Hell, some of them seem like they could use it for cattle ranching.) AC colonies seem to be heavily urbanized, so they probably do hydroponics somewhere.
I'm drawing a blank on the interior of colonies in other series. It's been a long day.

Nous restons ici.Useless accidental double post! Ignore Me!

Nous restons ici.As I mentioned a few pages ago, Island 3 type colonies have separate mini-cylinders for agricultural and industrial space. (O'Neill's original design also called for an industrial cylinder down the middle of the main colony, to take advantage of the zero-g corridor there, but this is never depicted in any Gundam work that I know of.) We see some of these agricultural blocks early in Zeta, where a Hizack team is camping out in one and sniping at folks who get close.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I knew about those agricultural modules, but part of that question is that, do they do hydroponics or not? If not, do they still do crop rotation?
Can the Doven Wolf from ZZ Gundam be considered a grunt suit? Because if it is, I'm voting for that.
Honorable mentions include, but are not limited to: Marasai, Serpent, GUAiZ, BuCUE and most Vagan suits.
