My favorite Megaten settings are the different Makais that show up in the Demikids/Devil Children games.

I was a fan of Tenkai in White Book. Angels living on giant gemstones in space connected by colossal chains.

Also Paranoi, Amnesia, and Megalopolis in Spiral Nemesis equally.

The Schrawzwelt and Tokyo Lockdown are both great.

I'll go with Digital Devil Saga. I find both Junkyard and real world fascinating.

The templey vibes that most of the areas in the Junkyard had were pretty cool.

The Pre apocalypse Tokyo in SMT 1 is pretty interesting, same with the Lockdown.

I like Just Before the End settings.

Right. I'm about to finally beat the Law route. After this, I'll take a break from SMTIV and work on some other 3DS games I have.

I was gonna catch up on the Wii U games I've been slacking off on, but my Wii U has decided to give me the middle finger and refuse to work properly. The good news is, I'm sending it in to fix the issue.

I hope they can do something, because there are a lot of games I never finished due to laziness (and getting too stuck on Chronicles X), and I hate the idea of not being able to finish them because my system suddenly decided to die on me...even if I'd have tossed it away once I got my Switch...sometime this century.

So yeah.

To get back on a SMT topic, would you guys say that the Septentrione are much more powerful than demons?

That was their intended point. They are our alien overlords and lord over humans and demons.

Speaking of the Septentriones, was there supposed to be an implication that Benetnasch created the others, except Dubhe who was created by Megrez? I kinda got that impression.

Damn. Then I guess my Jezebel possessed Amane vs Full Triangulum Miyako / Cor Caroli deathmatch is dead in the water.

Though the Triangulum are different from the Septentrione, so I probably should have mentioned them in my original post.

No all Septentriones are Polaris Swords. They all already exist. The characters think Megrez spawns Dubhe because of his similar ability, which if Megrez did would have labeled it Megrez, not Dubhe.

Finally working to finish Law.

Fighting Lucifuge. I had no idea there was still a whole other place to go through before I was done.

Hope this won't take too long.

Megrez's bits look like Dubhe, is all.

The impression I got was that the Septentriones are an increasing trial. You defeat one, you fight the next one, who is stronger.

If you pay attention, they do seem to be adapting to the party's tactics each time a successive one appears.

Anyone else feel let down by Persona 5's soundtrack? I mean, 'Rivers in the Desert' is great, but I wasn't all too impressed with much else.

There are two things that I felt weren't great in P5: story and soundtrack. Lyn's songs were nice, but it's probably the weakest Meguro score.

Me personally, the only track I really liked was Blooming Villain, nothing else really clicked and as a result I found the soundtrack as a whole weak. The final boss theme especially.

[up][up]Why I don't like the plot? I'm a bit busy to write an essay, but it basically boils down to too many coincidences ( like how everyone ended up connected to Shido, the Medjed crisis being resolved because Futaba happened to be the original Medjed, etc.), the IQ of the group spikes way too high during the last couple of months for me to believe (I don't have problems with the twists, I think the game should have shown the team acting smarter before November, especially during September. Even if Sae wouldn't warn that something went wrong, I would still facepalm at them for not considering that Okumura would be killed for knowing too much), everything revolves around Phantom Thieves (to the point that even the filler events are about them) and game expositions too much (like that As You Know scene that gets explained later anyway, and the team repeats stuff the player already knows pretty much every time someone joins. It's not exactly a point against the plot, but it did diminish my enjoyment). Also, I liked the characters, but I felt they hadn't really interacted outside of Phantom Thief stuff and Mementos, which I also blame on plot for not giving them situations where they can interact more (like how Ann and Makoto become friends and the game promptly forgets about it as they are not shown interacting outside of the group. And then there is Haru...).

New SJR teaser. Anahita is shown alongside Maya, so I guess I was wrong on the new Mothers being pro-humanity.

[up]Seeing that trailer, I'm already missing Golden Apocalypse Odin.

That scene with Anahita and Maya was shown before in another trailer.

Alright. I just killed Belial.

I was going to ask how many are left, but now there's a big column of purple light in front of me, so I'm guessing I'm almost there.

The characters explaining things we already know was a problem in P4 as well. Arena was the worst though because the routes weren't that much different. Just a story from someone elses perspective.

As for things mostly revolving around the PT, well they are meant to be guided by their own selfish actions for the most part, indeed even seeking justice no matter how sacrilegious others may view it as Arsene states, and he is the most talkative of the personas.

Also unlike in P4, which Inaba is a town with not much to do, there's a lot more things to do in Tokyo, so they aren't up your throat 24/7. In fact their lives revolving around Protag was a problem I saw people had with 4.
