A Game of Gods: A Multiversal Challenge

Rey snorted at the Doctor's comment. "Please, these guys aren't weird. We have a fellow who's a hive mind, and a cat who spits lava blood, and my sword is alive." He did a flip from the rope to inside the ring. "EVERYTHING's weird, so this is normal!"

Dis Baba pulled his head back, let out another click, and blinked precisely once. "An astute observation, Fran of Madaraki; I am known as Baba of Dis, or Dis Baba by the naming conventions of your species. Pray tell, this man you spoke of...was he Kin?"

"Kin? I'm not sure I follow...

"Ah, forgive me...was that the fellow's natural state?"

"You got a point Rey. We're all weird. I have to wonder who's the weirdest though..."

As far as I could tell he used to be human, but his skin and organs had been replaced with insects, acting as a colonial organism.

Rey grinned some. "In this room, Doctor? I'M the weirdest."

Dis Baba's face fell with obvious disappointment. "I see..."

The Doctor turns to Rey. "There's some new weirdness added to you recently but you still aren't first place."

"In this room, Doc." Rey counted off on his fingers. "I'm the only person who isn't some kind of soldier, hasn't come from a world at war, and/or came here with supernatural powers, and/or is some kind of superpowerful robot, and/or a psychic, and/or something like that. When I got here? I was a normal, average, regular, ordinary guy. Here, Doc...that's weird."

Dex-Starr relaxed after Gray lowered his gun, the Red Light dieing down. However, the blue merely sat there and scowled upon the newcomer, the type of disapproving, borderline homicidal expression cats gave to things they hated. The kind of look that would drive men of weaker wills to utter insanity over not knowing WHY the cat would give them such a deep, soul searing gaze of utter disappointment......

Sub-Zero looked over at Ravage.

"You know, unlike the yellow ninja you met earlier, I happen to like robots," said Sub-Zero. "That is, when they're not trying to kill me." To further prove that he wasn't Scorpion, he created a chunk of ice in the air above him. It fell to the ground and shattered.

I shouldn't have done that meta gag. It's actually OOC.

The Doctor stops. "You're right. You got some logic in you Rey. Nice thinking."

Ravage's optics narrowed dangerously. "Ravage, terrorize!"

And with this bellowed command, the Predacon panther swiftly transformed into robot mode; he drew the gun from his back and pointed it at Sub-Zero.

"If you aren't that man," he growled, "then how could you possibly know that?"

Rey nodded, chuckling. "So I've been looking at it all wrong, right? I'M the freak, here!" He laughed again. "It's kinda funny, actually."

Rey turned to look at Ravage and Sub-Zero, chuckling more. "Oh, look, Ravage is gonna kill someone."

Dis Baba sighed, then shrugged apologetically to Fran. "Please excuse me for a moment, Fran of Madaraki."

With that, the alien promptly turned and strode over to the ring, stopping a few feet from Rey. "So, you believe yourself to be going mad; is that it, Rey of Mysterio?"

"Because he is from the same realm as me," Sub-Zero coolly said. "My older brother killed him and turned him into what he is now. Then, he killed my older brother, who also became undead. In fact, my older brother is even worse of a state right now." He then made a sword out of the moisture in the air. "I'd suggest you put that gun away."

The Doctor laughs. "Is that new, Rey!?"

"You know I never thought I'd be a normal one in a group!"

"Going mad? Nah, nah. I'm just getting the hang of everything here, finally. It's not so bad as it seems. I mean, I'm the weird one out, so I shouldn't be scared of anyone else, right? It's a relief!"

"Trust me, you're way more used to this realm than I am," said Sub-Zero, still pointing the Kori Sword at Ravage.

Dis Baba arched an eyebrow, clearly not buying what Rey had to sell.

Ravage did not lower his blaster, and was completely undaunted by the frozen blade which Sub-Zero had just conjured from thin air. "That explains absolutely nothing. If that man had told you anything of this experience, you would know what's going on already; and judging from what you just described, that seems incredibly unlikely."

"I'd agree with you Rey! Those shadowpowers and alive sword should help you out!"

"He is also my rival," said Sub-Zero. "And you would not doubt me so easily if you had been to my realm." Sub-Zero kept the sword pointed at Ravage. "And he didn't just tell me of his exploits. I know about him because he is my rival, and besides, I wouldn't have known he came here if Raz hasn't mentioned it." Sub-Zero then removed his mask, revealing his face. "And if this unmasking doesn't prove that I am not Scorpion, then what will?"

"Nahhh. I don't want to risk hurting Mal-Keshar, and using the shadow powers sort of...made my soul burn. I think I'll be just fine, though!"

Ravage growled in agitation. Removing the mask proved nothing; the other one had never unmasked himself in Ravage's presence during the markedly brief time they had known one another.

After a moment, the Predacon snarled in disgust and holstered his weapon.
