Uh, said plan was already explained in this strip, which I had already brought up here.
My hypothesis is that some sort of temporal disturbance (they are dealing with a time-warp bomb; maybe some of the tachyons or whatever leaked around them) gave Blossom temporary near-future clairvoyance.
... Come to think of it, maybe that's how Bell knew what Sam was planning: Same clairvoyance thing that happened to Blossom, happened to Bell as well.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Or maybe Bell just has a keen hearing. Sam seems to actually speak in this white text, since she used it to taunt Buttercup about killing Blossom.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."So... Since the sword wouldn't have hurt either Blossom or Buttercup, what would've killed them in Blossom's clairvoyant vision into the immediate future?
Ah, thanks for the correction.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Curiously I think we're gonna get the bait and switch routine. The bomb goes off as seen in the earlier pages and covers the world in its time energy....thingy. BUT the shockwave subsides and its revealed it actually failed to do what its supposed to with Jack's sword being the literal Spanner in the Works.
OK, so, we are getting a 10th Anniversary Recap for PPGD after this chapter ends! Will it answer many vague questions, like the obvious "PPGD =/= GT" one? Yes. Only 305+ pages in, and this thing is still relevant even to this day.

Sooo... If they didn't dodge, the sword wouldn't do any damage to them?
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.AFAIK, it shouldn't. Though from what has been discussed on the SNAFU forums, apparently the sword does actually "cut" through an innocent's flesh, but it's painless and nothing is actually damaged, they just feel it as it's passing through their body (so they probably feel a brief moment of phantom pain that is purely an instinctive reaction, or something).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The recap mini-chapter starts now!

... You'd think he'd do a "Chapter X ends" page first before doing a recap chapter.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Panty shot, right out the door.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).The self-awareness, it hurts.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987So it is done Abridged Series style.
Didn't episode 4 of Samurai Jack show the fuzzy unharmed when the sword freed him from the broadcasts that kept him sedated and helpless?
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.x5 Actually, panty shot bookends. One from Blossom at the beginning and one from Bell at the end.
Trump delenda estActually, it ends outright on the first panel with Jack scolding Blossom for it ( x5 "Self-Awareness!"). It is also the reason why Bell's in the last panel was darken. It is a reference for why Panty Shots were put to the bare minimum midway through this comic.

Sorry but if that was the intent it failed. Now it just looks like Bell is wearing black panties.
Trump delenda estYou know I always figured Bell was just going commando and thta is why the panty shots are darkened on her. For a fighter like her, she would want to be less restricted.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."That's how Bell fights the system, yes.
PPGD: The Abridged Series. And 99% funnier than most Abridged Series.
You mean the "3rd" Recap Page.
The way I see it, Sam had some backup desperate plan that involved hurting Bell - likely by her own hand or via doings of either of Puffs - that would trigger GIR into exploding.
And that would kill him. Which makes Bell mad enough to go and chuck a sword at her.
