So that's why Marceline was hunting the vampires. I figured "to save the humans" but it seemed like there was more to it than that. Now I have to wonder where "Marceline the Vampire Queen" came from, or if she just called herself that for laughs.

More importantly did Finn just shatter those solid blocks of ice with his forehead? Those restraints were dense and heavy enough to keep the two of them from moving.

So... at some point before Simon became the Ice King he was under The Empress's thrall? But Marcy didn't know about the vampires until after Simon had left her as a child, so then there's at least one flashback of her finding Simon before the first episode of Adventure Time but sometime before she killed all of the vampires/the Empress.

Jake's eyes when Marceline uncloaked... they look weird. I can't tell if he's scared or aroused.

I like how AT's villains aren't always... I want to say Card-Carrying Villain, but I'm looking more for a trope that describes a villain who can be evil, but also hilariously laidback. The Empress sitting down to laugh at Simon's diary was .

The way they killed that vampire. I have never actually seen a vampire killed that way. In Buffy the vampires just flat-out couldn't get in, there was always a forcefield. So, bravo AT, that was a first.

Also, nice surprise - I thought they were actually doing a team-up for a moment there. Good twist.

Marceline is basically powering back up except without needing to drink blood/red anymore it seems. And I like how involved PB is here, she's been so Out of Focus prior to the KOO taking over.

Things are really building up to this confrontation with the Vampire King, huh.

Doesn't really seem like the vampires have been that much of a threat though compared to what Ooo has already faced.

Also, hearing it closely now I just noticed the credits are a slowed down version of Everything Stays.

So Marceline is having visions of her and Bubblegum growing old together.

The Moon, now, she was a threat. I wonder how the battle went down between her and Marceline the first time.

That... was kind of an anti-climax. Finn still says "oh thank glob?" Isn't Glob literally dead in this universe?

The only thing I'm really getting from this episode is that Marceline and PB have some serious ship potential - which we already knew. Also Finn and Jake are idiots. Lovable idiots, but idiots. Does the Moon have some kind of dream invasion ability?

And if The Moon has the ability to rapidly heal then... Marceline's healing factor should have gone into overdrive after absorbing her and thus sunlight shouldn't be a problem for her. Heck, she can walk outside with an umbrella.

So... telekinesis. That's going to be a problem.

The Buffy Speak in this episode is getting a little excessive.

Aw, PB blushed.

Why... why do I like the Vampire King? His voice is so familiar. And he's giving me heavy Asgore vibes. They're all so gung-ho about taking him out - heck PB didn't waste a second the moment he put Finn down.

Thorn arm - fail!

Too much comedy and badassery going on.

So he turns into a lion? And Marceline is eating a waffles, eggs, and chocolate chip cookie sandwich... and PPBTLR got a psychi signature and... the VK can read minds/hear thoughts?

PB won the people back. Marceline gave up and Ice King came in with some "motivating" speech. King Of Ooo was killed/melted.

Did Flame Princess just kill all those farmers?

The hotdog archers got turned into squid once they were crushed underfoot.

Oh, Marceline's a vampire again. The cycle continues?

Everything just... resets? Like VK said it would. Marceline got all of her powers back, and got bitten once she ate the King - so if she has her vampirism cured all of the vampires will respawn again?

Finn's side glance when PB says that she'll just usurp Crunchy.
