Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.See, Princess Bubblegum was right about the King of Ooo! NEVER question supremacy of great candy empress!
Gee, Sweet Pea is really sweet, I REALLY hope his mind isn't overtaken by evulz.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I know she mentioned him before...but what was the actual episode that she did?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.You mean the King of Ooo? He was performing the wedding ceremony of Tree Trunks and Mr. Pig in "Apple Wedding".
Looks like there's still one episode that I haven't caught yet...I meant where Peebles was talking true junk about the King of Ooo, I don't remember which episode it was. I just remember her actually doing it.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Well, in "Apple Wedding" she calls him a fraud, tries to find dirt on him for his illegal activities, and ultimately throws him in jail without due process.
I think "Apple Wedding" itself made it fairly clear that the King of Ooo was shady, like some exploitative con man cult leader.

Yeah, just listen to what he's saying during the vows. He was basically going to have TT and Mr.Pig as indentured Servants.
Oh...I remember now, I actually did see that one.
I just don't have good memory of it, the guy didn't even seem remotely familiar.
Thanks for the help, I'm gonna have to rewatch Apple Wedding again.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie."Apple Wedding" is totally underrated. Maybe the funniest episode of the latter half of season 5.
"Oh, haha, around FOR US. I thought you said walk to the zoo and back."
Apple Wedding definitely made him seem more harmless, while he seemed really, really skeezy in this one. Perhaps the writers realized they played his nature a bit too softly in the other one, because it ran up against the fact that the candy people seemed to really believe in him and Peebles had to be harsh for the "greater good", and was in the midst of her slide into moral ambiguity at the time. Now P-bubbs has recovered from her moral slippage and i guess they rectify the other end by making King of Ooo look really rotten here.
Although it did seem that Sweet P learned something from him that he can put to legitimate use, how to defuse your enemies through laughter.
I know they said they'll never make the lich funny himself, but they have put him in several humorous situations since "Jake the Dog." His reaction to the altered wish in that episode was kind of funny, that "oh crap" moment he has when he realized he said a wish other than what he meant. Then in the next episode with Prismo, everyone using him as a Living Prop, and now his line "before there was nothing, there were monsters." Delivered so deadpan, but it's a quite nonsensical use of Up To Eleven.
I wonder if this explains his nature and his goal, though? If he is one of these "Old Ones" who predate the universe itself, and wants to destroy everything so that he can restore the primordial nothingness and his original existence?
I think the Lich is one of those characters that works well without a motivation. Or at least, no more motivation than "it's in his nature to kill everything."
Every fantasy series needs a being whose only purpose in life (or afterlife, or unlife) is to destroy. It's a source of all chaos, or evil, or both, and it gives the forces of good (or law, or both ;p) something to strive against.
Well, can't argue with this. I just wish it wasn't in a child's body, because goddamn, is the turn back to evil likely going to be sad as all get out...
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Thinking on this, i just re-watched "Wake up!" and "Escape from the Citadel." The Lich does refer to the other cosmic criminals as "these ancients." It makes me wonder.
Finally caught Gold Stars, man Sweet Pea is an interesting character. No way the Lich is gone for good, but Sweet Pea seems almost entirely separate from him when he's not pushed to the edge.
As for the 'King', he's an absolute asshole and I'm glad that PB's hatred of him got some vindication. Cause christ almighty he's an ASSHOLE
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.I really haven't been catching up with the show recently (really should though), but if I could change the subject a smidge:
Has anyone ever wondered what the heck kind of outfit was PB wearing in "Mortal Folly"? The Adventure Time Wiki said it was some kind of meditating outfit, but I don't know...
Tomorrow the schedule will be tweaked a bit. AT's timeslot will be moved to 7:30 and Reg. show's slot is 7:45. This... is gonna suck. Probably.
"We be we baby!"oh no i won't have to sit through reruns to see new episodes, how dreadful
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. Is this so they can cram more episodes of Teen Titans Go in the schedule?
EDIT: Actually, it seems like The Amazing World Of Gumball is getting the boost. Oh well, at least it’s a show I watch.

Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!God I fuckin' hated Martin in this one. I figured he'd change around this time. I hope he gets a good killing in the end.
"We be we baby!"It's not worth expecting anything good from Martin.
The little dough people were quite cute though.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Missed the new ep. However, new summaries for the next three have come to light: "The Mountain": Lemongrab and Finn go on an expedition through the mountain of Matthew. "Dark Purple": Susan Strong and her associates infiltrate the mysterious Super Porp factory. "The Diary": TV finds an old diary, which revives a decades-old mystery.
Oh, hey Susan Strong arc. It's been a a while. Actually, it's been a long time. You left me. You abandoned me, and now you just want to come back in to my life as if nothing had changed. Well, that might have worked three years ago. I was young and foolish back then. But if you think you can just waltz back into the show, with your loveable character, your potential for incredible insight into the show's history, your stellar, if brief track record, and your numerous unsolved mysteries, then you have another...well, maybe it wouldn't hurt for you to stay a little while.

Okay, I seen it now. Dang, There is just no end to Martin's jackassery. Also, still nothing about Finn's mom. I wonder how they'll bring Martin back into play after this; clearly they're not done with him. Maybe that escape pod only takes you so far. Maybe he'll get into trouble and call on Finn for help.
In this episode, Pikmin! Only with a more selfish captain.
Well that didn't make SO much sense. Finn sleepwalks to a little person village where the inhabitants have been helping his dad fix his rocket, and Finn finds out that he was born on a banana boat. Maybe. It needed to be a half episode longer as longer.
Martin was just created to be hated in all of the worst ways. He's selfish, he's insensitive, and he doesn't even have any good explanations for what he does. And he talks to Finn like he has no idea that what he's doing is bad.
Good episode. Actually, went from good to great, once it got to...well, you know.
