Well, first of all, he really isn't ready for this kind of thing. He severely questions himself throught the first 3 parts of the series, and only really finds his way in part 4 before serious plot stuff happens.
The leader of The Empire
draws parrellels to a modern day military dictator. However, he is not mentally stable, and frquently communicates acorss ocean and plain with our hero.
I'm going to admit, I've always been a large story > small conflict guy, a plot > character guy. But as I work it out there could be some good character development and internal conflict.
Trust me, I can't really describe the story first without some major spoilers. ANd btw, this isn't something that I could simply post here on the forums. The whole thing (if I do it) end from finish will probably be 2500 pages or something.
