The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.
EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

Also, even though I'm sure they won't see it, a lot of the left-side boarders are really neat people. DQZ is relentless in his quest to make the site complete, Nate the Great is very level-headed, Corah's Uncle goes through, like, every new trope and corrects its spelling and grammar— there are just bucket loads of people who work very hard to make TV Tropes.org totally awesome, and if I still had a hat, I'd tip it to them.
