Chapter 144. The chapter's translation has Hamster calling her teacher a "he", but apparently she was actually using gender neutral pronouns.

Yup that's the chapter. Also in chapter 200 around page 13, Ayumi mentions her teacher again and there are couple more details that hint strongly at that it is Yukiji.

& -Look of contempt- Unfortunately, her role might not remain tiny, since she's supposed to become the next Student Council President. Though I guess the series could end (heh) before that happens, or otherwise become insignificant to the plot.
Yeah, Fumi is annoying, but I found her slightly funny. Slightly. And only because Sharna was there to punish her.
Though I have to compliment her for not going gooey over Hayate like your average HnG girl would have.

Well it's not like I hate hate her, I'd just prefer if she gets less screentime.
^ The amount of screentime she gets is fine, I just don't want her getting more.
^^ It's not that she's bad, it's just that other characters are much better. Trying to juggle too many characters ends up badly even if they're good.
Fumi gets good lines, but her character is kind of pointless and her being drawn always in facefault annoys me for some reason.

She's the bokke to the Indian girl. We first meet her (if I remember right) right after Nagi decides to go to school again. This is prior to the little trip to Athens though.

She's a new first year student. Start of term is in March, right? She showed up just before the trip to Greece.

I for one found this chapter to be funny, mostly because of the Sharna's reaction. I don't dislike Fumi but I don't find her interesting either. Which is a problem considering how she's somehow going to be come the next Student Council which I don't see happening anytime at all.

I'm hoping it happens after the series ends. It seems like the kind of thing the story wouldn't have told us if it were actually going to be incorporated into the plot.
I'm sure he wouldn't have all the characters wind up in futures that wouldn't make sense to the series.
