I haven't had the opportunity to play TWEWY beyond the beginning, but I have it on good authority that Joshua is a dick.

He's also functionally omniscient.

Funny because literally the entire point of The World Ends With You is to prove him wrong.

And you fail, because you end up proving him exactly right.

Also, spoilers.

The problem is he was asking the wrong question the entire time.

We don't have to understand other people. Not perfectly.

Neku does prove him wrong though because he refuses to shoot Joshua.

Proving that Joshua picked the right proxy.

But that was the opposite of what Joshua wanted if he shot Joshua, Neku would have proved to have learned nothing and given him every reason to destroy Shibuya.

Except Joshua would be dead so it'd be out of his hands.

I doubt a bullet would kill Joshua.

Like a gun is gonna kill Joshua. The man who escaped the level i flare.

He takes his games seriously. Rules are rules. They can be bent, but not broken altogether.

Especially the win/lose conditions. Even if the bullet didn't kill him, he wouldn't be Composer anymore.

He'd allow Neku to shoot, sure. But if he wanted to stop a bullet, he totally could. Especially in the UG. The question is whether he'd want to.

It's been a while, but wasn't the game between Josh and Kitaniji meant to see if anyone in Shibuya could change, with Josh selecting one of the most self-focused people in Shibuya as his proxy in order to make the point of "no they can't"?

Joshua never said the bullet would be lethal to him. Heck, for all we know he loaded the gun with blanks and was just trying to see if Neku was willing to shoot him.

The winner of their duel gets to decide what to do with Shibuya. Joshua already decided.

Its supposed to be a Secret Test of Character if Joshua dies there then he loses even when he wins.

Joshua made his rules for that last game very simple.

Hell, his original agreement and game was with Megumi. He already won. He had no reason to do anything with Neku besides dicking around.

What that final game means for each character can be up to interpretatio. I sort of feel that yes, Joshua had already won, and he was basically screwing around with Neku at that point. That final game was basically just to once again prove his point, because why wouldn't Neku shoot? That Neku put the gun down was probably unexpected.

I think I've figured out how to bring back Master Xehanort if Nimoy and Ohtsuka didn't already record their lines:

Xehanort bodyjacked Professor Charles Xavier in between KH3D and KH3, and will now be voiced by Patrick Stewart as a result.

Man, would't it be cool if they included some elements from Bravely Default in one of the games? Some of the special weapon attacks would make cool Keyblade moves. Sonic Wave, Horizon, Petal Swirl, Breaking Wave, and Angelic Pillar come to mind.

I think BD is in the same "tier" as TWEWY, no? Maybe a bit less because of the Nomura thing. I can hope, anyway. The whole multiple worlds deal would fit in just fine, and I'd love to see the Nomura-fied versions of the BD crew.

Either slightly more or less than TWEWY. I sort of think BD's use of FF terminology with a lot of things, like magic, helps its chacnes.

I love, love, love the idea of Bravely Default in KH, especially Ringabel. Heck, that's part of why I put him (and will be putting the others) in Antipode. Grandship could work well as a Gummi Ship-like hub, or something like Captain Hook's ship, and it'd be tons of fun to see the cast bounce off of the main four.

Finally watched the Recoded movie...

Someone give Jesse an Award, Data-Roxas is great, Its like he is filling in Marluxia role with a touch of Larxene. If Roxas had just bought into the Organization, He'd be a great villain. Kinda disappointed with Sora's Heartless then again its Sora's heartless its not gonna turn into Vanitas or anything.
