I would not get a piercing. For various reasons. Pain is only one of them.
Yeah that is making me cringe just thinking about it, but than I don't really like needles, so that might be a factor.

That neckline looks exactly the same as the white shirt's, to my eye.

Marten's actually likable for the first time since he broke up with Dora and he's not either moping around or being called an asshole because he didn't see his fling off on her plane ride anymore.
Also Claire is the objective best character.

He actually had Marten successfully glare down Pintsize when the latter started to make a joke about Claire. If that doesn't show favoritism I don't what does.
My excitement for shippy goodness is usually brought down by the reaction Marten/Claire will eventually elicit. This storyline is no different.
That being said, there is no objective best character, and QC works best as an ensemble work. Having the rest of the year be Marten/Claire would be as dull as having three months of Marigold/Dale just banging and talking about their feelings.
Yeah, I just find this series of strips... kinda dull, TBH.
Maybe it's because we're contrasting with "FAYE THE MANICPIXIEDREAMGIRL AT THE ROBOT DEATH FIGHT" and "Dora reconciling with Sven," but "Claire considers getting a piercing" is really, really boring.
... and if she does, I kinda do think it'll be another box tick for her being a borderline Creator's Pet.

I don't have an issue with small septum rings...they're kinda like ear plugs, the larger you go, the more ridiculous you look.
